This works great for cleaning a dirty wood stove. I also tried this on old windows that had tree sap residue that would not budge with Windex, paint thinner, or anything else. For some reason I thought about this speedy white and tried it on the stubborn windows. Years and years of build-up came off the first try. Speedy White works as advertised. It removes soot stains very readily, as it claims. Be aware that it streaks pretty badly, however. You may have to clean the glass using a normal glass cleaner after the application of Speedy White to remove deposits.
