Nice addition for mounting near your fireplace, to hold your matchs. (Not too close!) Have seen a similiar item at a local flea market marked @ $16.00 . Implication was that it was antique which I doubt. (4 star because of defective paint job, otherwise a 5 star item.)

This Fulton 44B Match Box is the perfect size for an entire box of 250 kitchen matches. I have used it for a year in a motor home on a wall right above our gas stove. It's very handy since the stove has to be lit by a match every time you use it. The striker hole is on both sides so it doesn't matter which side you hang it on. We did have to put an additional screw in the lower part of the box to hold the box firmly on the wall. Using just the top hole left the box wobbly. I had to hold on to the box to strike the match. Adding the second screw keeps the box steady so you can strike the match with one hand.

Match box holder just what I wanted. I cut black adhesive sandpaper to fit on lower sides for my strike anywhere matches. Works great for what I wanted.
