This clock is beautiful and shows beautifully in our home. It was much more expensive at a different online retailer that we almost purchased it from.

The only downside is that the clock hands are very thin and fragile. They could easily be bent or damaged so you have to be careful with them. When we first unpackaged everything and assembled the clock, the hands kept getting caught on the roman numerals and the hands even got tangled with each other. We had to bend the hands out a bit so that they would not touch anything and so that the clock could keep good time.

Other than that, a really nice clock. We bought it mostly as a decoration, so we are happy.

We were looking for a large wall clock above our fireplace & came across this Howard Miller. We actually first saw it hanging in an open house.

The clock arrives in two pieces, but it's easy to put together. After assembly, you'd never guess that it came in two pieces.

This clock is made of high quality materials & has an elegant look. It keeps great time & you obviously have no trouble seeing it from anywhere in the room.

If you're looking for a large wall clock (48"), it's hard to go wrong with this one.

The clock assembles easily although the parts didn't line up perfectly. Since it is so large, it is not noticeable. My husband is very sensitive to the sound of a ticking clock but you absolutely cannot hear this and he doesn't mind it running it all.

I like the clock, but the problem was that it didn't work when I received it. The box had been opened and taped shut so it must have been a return from someone else. The clock hands were bent and the clock wouldn't work in that condition. SO it was a hassle to call the manufacturer and get new hands and a new gear mechanisim. Everything works fine now and the clock is silent so it makes an impressive appearance iln the room. But I didn't need the aggravation about the return.
