When I first received the shelf I was hopeful that the mounting mechanism would work well. Unfortunately, the shelf doesn't make a 90 degree angle with the wall. It's more like 93-95 degrees. Not a huge deal, and I'm not sure if my guests will notice, but I surely do and I have some concerns that if there's a even an minor earthquake (I live in socal) that the items on the shelf will slide off.
