Save yourself Do not buy this fan... Mine lasted 3 weeks and stoped working. Trying to get help from mfg. impossible they are in canada returning it is like trying to send something overseas $130.00 down the drain.......

No it doesn't blow it hard like a fan you would plug in. It's a gentle faint breeze. Enough though to have the heat from wood stove is circulated in a wider area of the room by this fan. All this with no additional electricity costs.
