I purchased this fireplace to go in our 1942 home in the dining room/living room area. It is absolutely beautiful. We turn the flame on....without heat, of course....because it is so comforting. I lost my son in a hit & run accident a couple months ago and I can sit in front of the flame and comfort comes all over me. Thank you so much! We are thinking of getting the same one for our bedroom when we expand.

once we got it together we really enjoy it. didn't know that it wasn't assembled. probably didn't read that far. it does seem very sturdy although the slate looks darker than picture. all in all it was a great deal for the price.
