These doors are very well made for the price! They look great and have a very solid feel. I like the magnetic closures on the screen and doors. They include some insulation, but you will probably want to purchase more at your local home store.
Be careful to measure the width of your lintel (metal plate that holds up the middle of the fireplace). The doors attach to a masonry fireplace by clamping around the lintel, and mine was too wide. I had to drill and tap 2 holes and bolt the unit directly into the lintel.
I installed these over a cozy grate heater, and I have been very happy with the results. Be sure to subtract the height of the heater when measuring.
The manufacturer doesn't recommend it, but I have run the fireplace with he doors closed, as long as the fire is about 8 inches away from the glass.

Excellent product, and well engineered. And looks great. Packaging was just as well done. Some packaging engineer earned his wages.
