If this piece of furniture was built out of solid wood instead of particle board, I would have given it five stars. The big problem with the particle board here is, if you scratch the black paint coating, you instantly see the white board underneath. So, if you move often or have pets with claws, have some black paint on-hand.
Besides that, the thick, heavy duty smoked glass shelving and glass-ember fireplace insert are outstanding. Truly adds a new level of comfort to my basement's home theater. And this is the *only* electronic fireplace console I could find that was able to hold my Integra DTR 8.9 which fits perfectly in the lower shelving.
