What can you say about a coal hod? It's black, it arrived undamaged (surprisingly, since the packaging was pretty lame) and it works. I use it for wood pellets my stove does not take a full 40# bag, so the leftovers go into the coal hod. My wife can then feed the stove comfortably and not struggle with a 40# bag !

It is a bucket. It does what a bucket is suppose to do, so it gets 5 stars. It holds about a half a bag of pellets, and the angled edge makes it easy to pour. It is great for pellets but its light construction wouldn't last long for heavier work with coal of wood. It sure beats carrying full bags of pellets up the stairs from my garage.

I received the Panacea Fireplace Hod on time and in perfect condition. It was exactly what I expected. I have a pellot stove and it is large enough to hold a generous amount of pellots. Enough to fill my hopper twice, saving me a trip to the garage. If you are looking for a nice, large hod, this is the one you need.

I bought this hod to hold my leftover pellets after filling my stove with a new bag of pellets. Looks much better than a partial bag of pellets standing in my family room and it makes it easy to dump them in the hopper as well. Not real heavy material but it doesn't seem to need to be either. Works fine for my needs.

This is a sturdy, solid bucket that looks great next to the fireplace. It holds a lot of ash and allows you to spread ash easily. Well built and looks good, too.
