The material is great for patching masonry cracks and holes in your fireplace. It cures without the slow heating requirements of other patch materials and is easy to apply with std drywall knives. Because it comes as a dry material that you mix with water it is convenient to mix to just the right smoothness for your application.

Very easy to use.Covered exactly what needed to be covered and still have some left over. Clean up easy, dryed fast was able to build a nice fire on a, well not so cold now, winter night. But was nice to be able to have fire when it was.Would diffenetley recommend for small quick patch up work.

While very expensive, it was easy to mix and apply, and as was supposed to, dried hard as a rock. I can only trust the manufacturer that it will last through years of a burning fireplace.
