We LOVE these things! I originally wanted these irons to re-create the applesauce sandwiches my grandmother used to make in her old iron over her stove when I was a kid. We have a fire bowl for our back yard, and we will have a fire out there on a nice, summer evening, sometimes when we have company, and make dinner sandwiches in these irons. We've made mini pizzas, peanut butter and...lots of stuff, cold cuts and cheese sandwiches, and then moved right into desserts with jelly, applesauce, marshmallow fluff, and lots of other things. We use whole grain bread as our crust, and can use other healthy ingredients, so it's not a terrible dinner, and it's both fun and filling! Great for the whole family!
