I was looking for something to cover my fireplace that did not require custom installation but looked like it was custom made. This fit the bill! It has solid construction and looks beautiful on my fireplace. The scroll design add beauty and sturdiness without blocking the view of the fire. The only suggestion is that the description should note the curved top only reaches 27 inches high at either end… the 31 inch size listed is only at its highest point in the middle. This may leave a gap at the top ends of the fireplace. Very easy to put together… it even comes with the little wrench required to tighten the bolts!

LOVE IT! While I love the sounds of a crackling fire the popping cinders on occassion would fly over our old screen. So we wanted to purchase a flat front screen. Now we can lay in front of the fireplace and not worry about cinders hitting us. The screen was easy to put together and it fits perfectly in/on our brick fireplace. It goes great with the decor of the house. The only negative is that there is a little discoloration on one of the legs on the unit. But otherwise, we feel safe and LOVE IT!

The over all quality was not that good. Seems like a deal. But you get what you pay for! :(

The look and feel of this fireplace screen (copper version) is excellent for the price, but after only an hour of our first burn the magnetic strip lost it's magnetic powers and the doors flung open. There is absolutely no magnetism left. We now have to slide a 1" wedge underneath each leg to keep the screen tipped back enough for the doors to stay closed.

Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for.
