This is one strong fireplace grate, well-crafted from stainless steel with robust welds. The only way it could be improved would be if Uniflame would be if it were even bigger than 30".
I've had cast iron fireplace grates in the past, and they always succumb to rust within a few years, so I expect good things from this stainless model. Only used it for a couple of fires far, and it's still mostly shiny.
UPDATE; Grate has been sitting in an outdoor fireplace for 2 years now, and while it is no longer bright and shiny, dimensions are about the same. We did get a little "overenthusiastic" with a fire last year (had a lot of bone-dry oak) and got it glowing red, so now the grate has sagged a bit in the middle, but it has otherwise held up under fire.
