I just bought a 40" TV, and needed a corner stand to sit it on. The local stores had nothing that appealed to us, mostly black in color and/or cheap looking faux wood. Amazon had, it appeared, the perfect solution. We have mostly oak furniture, so this stand seemed to be the solution.
Shipping was super-fast, as usual. The unit is very heavy, which usually indicates that some of it is compressed wood chips. It's hard to say which parts are real wood, and which are that sawdust and glue with a veneer pasted on. Assembly was relatively easy, probably took around 30 minutes. As stated, no tools were required. Each part snapped into place, with pre-installed hooks, pegs, and latches.
The finished product looks nice, although I was a bit disappointed in the wood shades. Although it does look primarily like oak, the pieces (top, front, doors, bottom, etc.) mostly have a slightly different shade. The overall effect is that it simply doesn't look as nice and uniform as the one in the picture on Amazon. If not for that, I would give it 5 stars. Still a good deal, in my opinion, for the price.

This is a really nice piece of furniture and exactly what I was looking for! I put it together all by myself. It was very easy, no tools required with clear instructions. It came well packaged, although one piece was chipped. The instructions included what to do in that event. I emailed them regarding the chipped piece and had the replacement within three days. I need a corner TV stand for a 42" TV and encouraged by the good reviews I decided to take the plunge. I am not technically inclined, don't have many tools around the house and I am skeptical of instructions like "easy to instal" "only minutes to put together," etc. However, my other alternative would have been to purchase one from a furniture store and pay for delivery or rent a P/U truck. So I decided to give this one a try. It arrived in less than a week and it was well packed and protected. You do not need any tools, all the parts just slide in, and everything alined perfectly. Although I would not say it was a breeze, the whole experience was relatively painless. All parts are numbered and if you can follow illustrations, you should be fine. It took me a little over an hour, and probably someone more talented would have no problems to finish the job in half of the time. I needed someone to help me keep parts in place, but I assume a more acrobatic person might be able to do it alone. The construction is solid but the materials appear to be particle board. I purchased this corner tv stand after searching for days for one that had a nice, simple look with doors instead of just shelving. This arrived fast (thank you Amazon Prime) and safely. As my boyfriend and I put this together, we kept commenting on how easy it was and how great the stand looked. Upon completion, we are really impressed with the quality and look of this stand. For something that was under $200, this is a steal. It looks like real wood, and is a solid piece of furniture. I am really impressed and would buy this stand again if I ever needed to. I highly recommend this stand if you are looking for a corner unit. Great table and my 46-inch HD TV fits on it just right. Plenty of room on the shelves for various electronics and the two storage compartments on either side provide some extra space for game controls and other items. Wasn't too difficult to put together, either.
