This screen fits our old Rumsford Fireplace opening perfectly, and the spark guard at the top makes us all feel more secure by blocking shooting sparks. The screen is well made, it feels substantial, but not too heavy to move or tilt to add logs. One thing we really like is the unobscured view of the firethe screen is not divided in the middle and so we can really view the fire almost like there is no screen there! Much nicer than our three section screen with heavy wrought iron welds in the middle that this replaced!
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! Oh and the handles were fine on ours! Heavy, Well made & fit perfectlyThe screen itself is nice and fits well but the handle didn't fit. The holes on one of the sides were too close together and the hardware wouldn't fit. That makes it go from a 4 to a 2.
