We used to have the type of screen you had to move to start and stoke the fire. We absolutely love just opening the door to work on the fire and then just closing the door. My mother has rotator cuff problems and we bought her a similar fireplace screen. She loves it too. Great quality.

This screen has a very lightweight frame, and has a very "cheap" feel to it. This is not a high quality item. Mine had some rust on it, from the factory. It also isn't very stable. The foot design is strange, in that the feet on one side are much larger than the other. It makes it easy to tip over. My cat knocked it over by brushing up against it.
