This particular fireplace screen was great, and very pretty. I wanted stained glass but I also wanted to see the fire, so the clear glass in the middle was what I needed.
The price was really good if you want stained glass but can't afford it. I do stained glass myself, but there is no way I could make this screen for the price offered. It was a good buy and I'm very happy with it.

It is as pretty as it looks however when mine arrived it smelled really bad, like if I were to put it by the fireplace and use it it would catch on fire. When I called the company about the awful smell they told me it is a chemical they use when putting the stained glass together. They said it would go away but I needed to keep this in my porch for a couple of weeks before I could bring it in the house. My other complaint was standing it up. It just opened and you balanced it on its edges. Since it is made of glass just the slightest touch could make it fall and break so I thought it was not practical at all to be used at an active fireplace. I did try it in front of the fireplace before I sent it back and the metal around the glass gets extremely hot which made it very difficult to move when you wanted to add a log to the fireplace and again the fact that it is so delicate made for a hassle. In closing if you have a gas fireplace, and you have no children or pets that can accidently bump into it, I would purchase it but the flames were not seen through the glass as I expected.
