This item is poorly made. Lightweight, flimsy, almost miniature in size. I was embarrassed when my husband opened it as a Christmas gift. If you need a tool set to pick up and move fireplace logs do not purchase this set. My hairbrush would do a better job than the broom included in the set.

I was not really thinking there is much of a difference between fireplace tool sets, other than design, but I suppose, like everything else, there are better and worse ones. I bought this set because it was from Amazon and therefore had free shipping (these things are heavy) and it is passable. The major complaint I have is the tongs (or grabbers) require two hands because of the way they hinge, and that is a bit inconvenient, and also makes them easier to allow you to burn yourself.Other than that, a fine set of tools and good deal for the price.
