This is a really nice tool set and it has a black brush which was important to me because those natural-colored brushes get really ugly and dirty very quickly (from the soot) so when they're hanging there, they look a mess. The stand is nice and sturdy and doesn't topple over. I'm not sure how to use the "log lifter" but I'm sure it'll come in handy one day! And be forewarned--Amazon usually has really good prices but this one is about $10 less at Home Depot. (I wish someone had told ME that!) :)

Aside from both boxes arriving with no damage, there isn't much else good to say about this piece. DO NOT believe anything you read about this being easy to put together. It took me over 5 hours with a power driver (I can't imagine how long it would have taken with the regular allen wrench they give you). The piece at the bottom didn't properly line up either and there's a gap that's very noticeable. Also, the screws were rusted into the screen rod and were impossible to get out without a vice and pliars and having to strip them. There were also no holes drilled for the firebox to install in the back of the unit (not that this was a big deal, but for those who don't have a power drill it would be since it mentions nowhere in the directions that you need one). Overall after it was together, it looks ok with the exception of the white bottom piece not lining up and leaving a gap. For $450, I would expect ALOT more quality craftmanship than what I got. I probably would have shipped the whole thing back for a refund, but tearing it apart again and re-packaging it just wouldn't be worth it. It's not horrible, but far from worth the amount I paid for it. If I could do it over, I'd look for other corner units.

This fireplace is really nice looking. A great piece of furniture for my living room. The room is large and it helps keep it warm as I have quite a few windows. Really pretty. I love it. A couple of my friends are going to order this very same fireplace.

This bellows looks nice but it literally began to fall apart the first time we used it. It has chrome colored tacks holding the vinyl onto the wood, but several began popping out almost immediately. Pushed them back in but the same thing happened. I can't imagine this bellows lasting very long if this it how it performs the very first time we used it. I returned it to Amazon the next day.

Very solid construction. The bolts fit tightly and you can really crank them on. The only problem I had was that I didn't follow the instructions and tried to really tightened the hooks for the tools. I stripped one of the hooks but Pilgrim replaced the part for free.

Ponied up the dough for this pricier hearth organizer and I'm not disappointed in the quality. Both the unit itself and the included tools are nice powder coated steel, with no rough edges or sharp points, and STURDY. The unit is a perfect fit next to my fireplace, with relatively sleek lines that fit into most any decor. The hooks for the tools seemed small at first but nothing has unintentionally fallen off the hook so they do in fact function well without being obtrusive.

The unit was easy to assemble and I love the two levels of storage logs below and kindling above so you don't have to dig through a heavy pile of logs just to get to the smaller pieces. The only feature I wish it had was another hook or little box for lighter/matches.

I am still embarrassed that we spent what we did on this. However, it is quite sturdy and looks nice. The holes were a bit misaligned for putting together. So it took a little extra effort to get the screws in. Despite that, it was still relatively easy to put together.

I have a 4 foot diameter fire pit and needed a large grate. This grate is sturdy, well designed, and is the perfect fit for my fire pit. After using it once, however, it started to get surface rust. I had to repaint it with high temperature paint.

This electric log works for us. The light sort of slowly pulsates. It is a little too bright but we put some real wood around it and it is much better. The crackling noises are not realistic, but you don't have to turn them on. All in all, it looks nice in the fireplace behind the screens. It doesn't call attention to itself and people don't think anything about it, assuming there is a low hearth fire in the fireplace, unless they really look closely.

This is the most realistic looking I have seen. We placed it in a stone fireplace that we no longer use, it's perfect. Visitors believe it is real. The soung is not a genuine fireplace sound, but it can be turned off. Overall we love it.

This product is as advertised, although you could be led to believe that you would get an affect of flames. All it does is glow from right to left. The sound is more like gun fire than crackling wood. It can and has been turned off. It consumes little or no power (less than 4W max) so it can be left on.

Just a heads up to anyone thinking about purchasing this item, the picture shows an assortment of different shapes, but when I received my order, it only contained four pyramids. After doing some research from other websites, I found out that each shape is sold individually. There are six different shapes available costing between $40 to $60 each. So, if you want your fireplace to look like the one in the picture, it will cost you around $300.

I installed this kit in about 2 minutes. Faster than expected. Simple plug in and placement. I ended up moving the fan from the center to the edge of the fire box. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I wanted the heat to blow from the left side of the firebox which is closer to the center of the room. The temperature sensor seems like a good idea, and its just a magnet, so easy to install. The fan is not completely silent. I may consider a speed control which could quiet the motor down a bit. Its not very loud and should not be a deal breaker. As far as the airflow it can be felt, but its not a rushing wind like a portable heater. The loose dust in the firebox definitely can be blown into your house, as a reference. I used a butane gas match to test the airflow, from outside of the firebox. At the bottom of the firebox, the flame bent at a 45 degree angle suggesting the fan is pulling a lot of air. On the top of the firebox the flame of the gas match kept being blown out, which suggests a lot of airflow coming through the top of the firebox. Again, not a rushing wind like a portable heater but the tests suggest airflow. Finally, my fiancee made a comment that she felt the heat and made no complaints about the fan noise. She told her friends, who came over for a party, and they all had positive comments about the heat and fan. I told them I paid about $65 at Amazon.com and one of the friends told her husband he must buy one. I am happy with this product and hope this review helps.

This item has not disapointed. It has helped adding extra heat to my Condo by distributing it more effeiently.The fan is a bit noisier that I had expected but is no problem,most people have some other source of noise on ie. radio,tv,etc.

Only negative point is that it is not UL or CSA approved.

Very much worth the price and very asy to install.

Turns on and off automatically, anyone can install it, but I do wish the blower was a little quieter. You get used to it and it becomes white noise with the TV on, but maybe a little more tech could get it a bit quieter.
