This mantle exceeded my expectations. No need to go into great detail, but here are the bullets:
* The packaging was excellent and very protective.
* The mantel was made from solid wood not pressboard with a laminate.
* The quality of the wood was excellent.
Do I have any negative comments? (maybe) because of the above qualities, the package was so heavy that my wife had to help me carry the box into the house. Yes very heavy and made in China, but the shipping was free!
