I Googled this problem and a backpacker's forum confirmed, this is a soot-producing fuel that (according to its MSDS sheet) contains up to 10% isopropyl alcohol, causing it to be unsuitable for indoor use and unsuitable for cooking use. Amazon apparently does not accept returns of this product.

I used a different brand before that claimed to have no odor but I could smell it burning, especially at burnout. I had just accepted that "odorless" might not exisit, then I ordered this product and it burns so cleanly and is truly odorless! I thank you for the reasonable price and will continue to order this brand of fuel.
