I was looking for an iron screen to keep my two toddler out of our large fireplace. I found this one and liked the design. I was surprised when it arrived about how light it was. Although it is a beautiful piece. It is not quality. Only the front side of the screen has the intricate carvings you see in the picture. The back is completely flat. I decided to keep ours anyway because of how nice it looks with our fireplace, but it was definitely not worth the high price tag.

Ordered for my fireplace sheerly as a decorative piece (and to keep the dog's toys from launching into the fireplace). Reviews were good and for the price I thought it was worth a try. Very attractive decorative fire screen. Was good price for such an ornate screen. Saw some people had issue with back side not being raised. Would require very expensive two sided injection mold to do that. Who cares about back side anyway. Does not show. This is one nice looking elaborately decorated screen.
