The center hinge rusted and broke the 3rd time I used it. I had it for about 8 months. Would not recommend.

The tongs appear to be well made. Won't know for sure what the quality is like until cooler weather comes.

Honest reviews on Minuteman International WRL-02T Extra Long Rope Design Tongs

This is just what I was looking for.

We have a big outdoor fire ring, and I needed tongs to move logs around in the fire when they're ON FIRE.

This does the trick. Very nice tongs, great quality, solidly made, nice looking.

A very fair value for the money. I'd absolutely buy them again.

Box was in awful shape, screen was nicked from external damage. This is a large screen. Workmanship of the screen was excellent.

I love the design; the weight; the sturdy feel of this screen. I am reserving judgement until I see how long it lasts. It appears that the wire mesh on the front is merely glued on to the horizontal frame in the center. Since that is directly in front of the fire, I can't say how long it will hold. Otherwise, I love it!

The wonderful reviews we read about this product were all true. This screen is beautiful; the craftsmanship is solid and it nicely finishes the look of our newly remodeled fireplace. I was worried it might be too imposing, but it was not; it adds the right touch of elegance. It is certainly a little pricy but totally worth it!

Honest reviews on Spark Guard Screen

We have a gas fireplace, but the glass front gets dangerously hot. We bought this to use so our toddler doesn't get burned. It's definitely worth the purchase. Not only does the screen not get hot, but it's very non-invasive and you really don't see it. It was the perfect size and our family and friends have actually commented on how nice it is.

I measured my fireplace opening before ordering this reasonably priced fireplace doors. Whent it was time to install I read the instructions which said before installing to remeasure to insure these would fit. I remeasured and the opening fit into the parameters specified. I removed the doors from the packaging and began the installation only to find that with the configuration of my fireplace opening these won't fit. The floor to my fireplace is flush with the hearth. These doors require a drop from the floor of the fireplace so that they overhang slightly. I am left with doors I can't use and I destroyed enough of the packaging that I cannot return them. Be certain they will work for you before ordering.

The doors seemed to be pretty well built, especiall for the price. The screens are rigid doors not the sliding kind. I would have liked them a lot had they worked for me.

These look so expensive although they didn't cost any where as much as some doors. There is no drilling involved you just clamp the top and bottom and they are very secure. Made the whole fireplace look like a different place Love them!

Discount Acumen RCK-K Thermostat - On/Off Fireplace Remote Control

Customer Ratings:

We love to be able to set the thermostat to the temperature we want and the gas logs will turn on and off to maintain that temperature. This remote control is a replacement for the remote we used for over 10 years. I wanted the same remote since we had such good service out of the first one.

Got it pretty quick after I ordered it; put it together easy, and it is some seriously solid metalwork. I love it. It fits perfectly next to my fireplace and holds plenty of firewood, which is really nice. I'm thinking of getting some sort of canvas or mesh thing to put on the kindling bracket, since smaller stuff will just fall right through, but that's no biggie to me and the only tweak i'd make to a very fine item. And honestly, it's the sort of tweak you want to decide for yourself,so the manufacturer should leave it exactly as is.

I spenT HOURS researching a firewood holder, and finally decided to give this one a try. GLAD I DID! Not only is this thing STURDY, but it hold lots of wood with a very small footprint. SOLID and heavy, sturdy metal. It might seem expensive, but it's worth every penny. It looks great next to my fireplace. Holds enough wood for 3-4 hours of fire (depending on how big obviously). I usually build a fire in the place, then stock this holder with wood, and I'm good to go all night long. Simple design, but stylish and VERY sturdy. I'd buy it again!

I bought $800 worth of rugs from them right before moving into an apt installing hardwood floors.

Upon moving we realized we didn't need so many. We never unwrapped the ones we didn't need. Ever time we tried to return them they sent them back. They refused to answer correspondence from us or Amazon until finally the amount of time had passed in which they could simply answer "order closed ".

To which they then replied to everything they were sent. $800 of brand new rugs still packaged.

That is a truly low down, dirty, rip off artist supreme. The only return policy they have is "Makit absolutely impossible! "

I was looking for an iron screen to keep my two toddler out of our large fireplace. I found this one and liked the design. I was surprised when it arrived about how light it was. Although it is a beautiful piece. It is not quality. Only the front side of the screen has the intricate carvings you see in the picture. The back is completely flat. I decided to keep ours anyway because of how nice it looks with our fireplace, but it was definitely not worth the high price tag.

Ordered for my fireplace sheerly as a decorative piece (and to keep the dog's toys from launching into the fireplace). Reviews were good and for the price I thought it was worth a try. Very impressed with the appearance and construction once it arrived. Looks beautiful and is perfect for us!

a classy screen for a large bed and breakfast bedroom fireplace. Perfect! it is larger than would work for the average fireplace

Honest reviews on Single Panel Bronze Finish Cast Aluminum Screen

Very attractive decorative fire screen. Was good price for such an ornate screen. Saw some people had issue with back side not being raised. Would require very expensive two sided injection mold to do that. Who cares about back side anyway. Does not show. This is one nice looking elaborately decorated screen.

Hearth Cricket Polished Review

Customer Ratings:

I was looking for something decorative that I could put on our wood stove as it's a big black boring hunk of metal. I read that crickets are supposed to be a traditional sign of good luck when placed on the hearth and, after looking online at many different options, I selected this one. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The cricket is cute, especially his little antennas, and he looks great perched on the top of the stove. Several people have commented on him. One note: As the cricket is metal, he heats up quickly and cannot be handled at all while the stove is hot. So if you have children around the house who might want to pick him up, the top of the stove may not be the best place for this item.

Napa Forge is an incorrect name. It's made in China, Wung Ho Welding Shop would be a more appropriate name as the manufacturer. Quality is OK. One leg is shorter than the other three. I had to put some cardboard underneath the leg to make it stand evenly. It's only about a quarter of an inch off, but still it's off. The appearance looks good on the hearth and it accentuates the wood stove. Very strong! I stack it with wood every day and it is holding up well. The tools are well made and are meant to be used. Too often fireplace tools are mere accent pieces. That's not the case with these, they are tough.

I spent almost a year looking for fireplace tools that I didn't hate, and we're more then my car payment! I have a contemporary looking house and didn't want brass or anything tacky. I love the weight of the tools and the fact that it can hold some wood as well. I have a great dane, that is a bit clumsy, OK a lot clumsy, and this holds up very well to tail hits and bangs! Great buy!!!

I was looking for a set that also had space for some wood. This is it. I am satisfied with the price and quality. I would recommend it.

Honest reviews on Napa Forge Contemporary Hearth Center

I looked at fireplace tools, but many nice looking ones were quite costly. When looking separately for a firewood rack, I came across this combo and am glad I did. For less than the cost of some tool sets, I got a sturdy clean lined wood rack which also has 4 tools. All I added was a bellows. It's so slim & good looking that I leave it sitting on my elevated hearth, front and center in my main room, loaded with the wood for my next fire.

Color-Changing Fireplace Color Cones - 5 lb. Refill Bag Reviews

Customer Ratings:

Okay, so a natural wood-burning fire is eye candy in and of itself, but with these color cones, now we're talkin' EYE CANDY!

Alright, they do smell like chemicals when burning, in a campfire setting. However, if your chimney has good draft, you cannot smell them when burning in a fireplace. And they do tell you in the instructions not to cook over them, makes sense.

I find it useful (since they're spherical and tend to want to wander off) to use the barbeque tongs to place them exactly where I want them.

As long as I can afford beauty in my life, I'll make these cones part of my fire burning tradition (along with Lightning Nuggets to help get the fire started, and burning to death some Johnsonville brats, also known as meat candy...hoo, yeah!)
