I love the design; the weight; the sturdy feel of this screen. I am reserving judgement until I see how long it lasts. It appears that the wire mesh on the front is merely glued on to the horizontal frame in the center. Since that is directly in front of the fire, I can't say how long it will hold. We have a gas fireplace, but the glass front gets dangerously hot. We bought this to use so our toddler doesn't get burned. It's definitely worth the purchase. Not only does the screen not get hot, but it's very non-invasive and you really don't see it. It was the perfect size and our family and friends have actually commented on how nice it is.
