Wooden matchsticks are love and light easily. One can light a candle that is down to the bottom of the holder and avoid burning one's fingers.

Cheap HomArt Large Decorative Pinecones Matches
Previously, whenever I've ordered Matchboxes, I've gotten two to a pack. Foolishly, I thought it would be the same this time an I didn't scrutinize the description closely--my mistake. One pack of matches for more than $6???? That's outrageous! I'll never do that again. Makes more sense to go to a store and buy them outright.

I love the design; the weight; the sturdy feel of this screen. I am reserving judgement until I see how long it lasts. It appears that the wire mesh on the front is merely glued on to the horizontal frame in the center. Since that is directly in front of the fire, I can't say how long it will hold. Otherwise, I love it!Best Deals for Spark Guard Screen
The wonderful reviews we read about this product were all true. This screen is beautiful; the craftsmanship is solid and it nicely finishes the look of our newly remodeled fireplace. I was worried it might be too imposing, but it was not; it adds the right touch of elegance. It is certainly a little pricy but totally worth it!Honest reviews on Spark Guard Screen
We have a gas fireplace, but the glass front gets dangerously hot. We bought this to use so our toddler doesn't get burned. It's definitely worth the purchase. Not only does the screen not get hot, but it's very non-invasive and you really don't see it. It was the perfect size and our family and friends have actually commented on how nice it is.Tuesday, September 16, 2014

The width is perfect for our space, but the design requires the minimum log length to be just a tad longer than what our stove takes. So we have to put something else down before we stack our wood. Otherwise, its simple, basic, with a good quality that handles the weight of all that wood without a problem

Nothing special.. Just pressed metal.
I bought this to use for ashes for my new woodstove. Couldn't find what I wanted in "sets" so bought this and will use with a galvanized bucket I have. (Love galvanized metal). Wish the brass color was stronger.
If I could have found this item in town I'd have bought it there. Hate to pay shipping cost that is close to half of the price of the item purchased.

Uniflame Solid Brass Match Holder with Striket & Copper Band Reviews
I would recommend this product to anyone. It is attractive on the fireplace, and has a striker on the side.
But there are no matches.
They're not included.
It's a cheesy little lightweight brass can. Completely and totally deceptive.
Amazon should be ashamed of themselves.

I bought this from eBay for around $190. I have two other electric space heaters so comparison was an easy task. I bought it for our high ceiling bedroom which is about 300 sf. Ceramic heater was useless because hot air would rise up. Then I bought a Holmes Infrared Quartz Heater from Wal-Mart , this was a lot better than the ceramic heater but the fan was really noisy and there was no way to turn it off. Holmes Quartz Heater gives you SUN Like heat and the heat does not rise up like ceramic heaters. Anyways it was way too noisy, You can't have a restful sleep with that thing. Still I thought there was something right with the infrared heaters. Then I looked into Edenpure and other more expensive infrared heaters. They looked promising now that I was already sold on the idea of infrared heating but they were really expensive. Then I looked at eBay and found Dr Heater. Customer Feedback was pretty good so I decided to give it a shot. It arrived in 5 days and I first tried it in our living room which is about 700 sf when kitchen included. Dr Heater was OK, I was not too impressed but still felt it was doing something different. It did its magic when I moved it to our bedroom. In about 10 minutes our bedroom was already warm , and outside temp was 35-40 F. It was set on Auto but later that night I set it to LOW because it was getting really hot and yet thermostat kept showing 66F degrees and never shut off because I'd set it to 70. SO I am not sure if the thermostat was defective or what, it sure felt more than 66 F. Anyways when I set it at LOW it was REALLY comfortable and most importantly QUITE. That's the best thing about this heater, it is quite and you can place it in your bedroom. No other heater could heat our bedroom on LOW because of high ceilings. Dr Heater did it. Overall I give it 4 stars, I was going to give 5 but I still cannot figure out if the thermostat is good or not so there you have 4 and, it is an honest review not like the first review that is obviously written by one of the Dr Heater employees :)
The Dr. Heater is made of real wood also, where the Iheater and allot of others on the market have plastic shells.
Keep in mind folks that these are just space heaters BUT they are more power efficient and do kick out a bit more heat than the other numerous space heaters that I have and I have quite a few unfortunately... I have found that they do heat very large areas by them selves but do take a while to bring it up to temperature but once there, they are pretty amazing for their portable size and the amount of wattage they use.
They are commonly used in combination with your main heat source so that the main heat source runs less, thus saving you money. The heat is a very comfortable heat and does not dry the air. It seems to disperse the heat much better than space heaters that dry the air. The heat seems to get around allot better but will still be warmer near the heat source of course.
I think if one looks at these as what they really are, in which is an efficient little space heater that kicks out a bit more heat with a more comfortable feel that disperses a bit better will be well happy with these new type heaters. If you look around you can get some killer deals on the Dr. Heater and think the price will come down in years ahead on this new technology as they become more predominant in the market place.
I like both of my heaters but I like the Dr. Heater better because it seems to blow better and whether it actually kicks out more actual heat in the end, I don't know but it makes me want to believe it does...LOL... And the bit smaller size allows me to put it in more spaces than the larger Iheater and the real wood is just a touch more American, not to mention it is well over a $100.00 cheaper thus leaving some money in your pocket to take momma out to dinner before you come home to a nicely efficient warmed house... My vote goes to Dr. Heater and if I get another it will be the same.

I have an Iheater and the Dr. Heater and I like the Dr. Heater better. They are both good units but the Dr. Heater is smaller and easier to carry around from place to place if needed and the wheels underneath are spaced closer together thus easier to place on top of other units such as a speaker unit that is not in use or a large air purifier that I have thus not taking up any floor space if needed. It also blows heat out harder than the Iheater but in the end, I think they both kick out about the same amount of heat energy. The Dr. Heater is made of real wood also, where the Iheater and allot of others on the market have plastic shells.

C. Ferrisi may not quite understand what PTC is. I looked it up. "Positive temperature co-efficient PTC heating elements are small ceramic stones with self temperature limiting characteristics. PTC stones have fast heating response times and plateau once the pre-defined reference temperature is reached." The infrared lights produce the heat. This type of heating is how you can heat a large area without creating a huge electric bill. Which is why we have a couple around the house so our furnace (which is electric) will not kick on as often. It saves electricity without having to run around the house in a parka! Ok, I order the heater and they ship a used (obviously returned) unit out to me. I contact them about this and they give me the run around and keep asking if the unit is damaged. I ask why the unit was returned, they don't answer. I ask them to CC Amazon on the emails they are sending, they don't. They offer me $30 to keep the used unit, I say no, just send me a shipping label to send it back for a refund. They say "we don't send out shipping labels." I contact Amazon and ask them to step in. They send me a shipping label. I tried out the unit and it didn't heat even half of the square footage it promised. What a disaster.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Dr Infrared Heater Portable Quartz + PTC Infrared Space Heater
I ordered the portable Far Infrared Heater Model DR-968 on 2-22-10. I received the heater in a timely manner. I began using the heater the day it was received. The heater only worked two (2) days. My attempts to get a replacement were not answered until I sent an e-mail through Amazon.com. I then received an e-mail from the company stating a replacement was being shipped out that very day. Waited a week and still no replacement heater. Sent another e-mail only to be told my replacement heater had not been sent. There had been a mix-up and the paper work had gotten misplaced. However, my replacement heater would be sent out that day or latest the next. I just received my replacement heater (3-31-10). I check it and for now it is working. Hope this heater will not stop after a couple of days. It is my opinion, had it not been for one of my e-mails going thur Amazon.com I would still be waiting on a replacement heater. I do not have a lot of trust in this company. Grady W. ConnerSunday, June 8, 2014

Good fireplace screen for the price. It's not super sturdy but does the job. I didn't know that 'antique iron powder coated' meant that it was a grey/silver color. The fireplace screen is really nice. But it came with a broken hinge. I called the company and their message said they would contact me the next day. BUT I have not heard from them 1 week later. If the home center has the right bonding I will fix it myself. But I wish the company had returned my call when they said the would. I would order it again but hope that it would not be broken.Wednesday, May 14, 2014

My fireplace size is near the upper end range of the size limit. Went in fine. Don't need to use the riser bar b/c of dimensions of fireplace opening. Looks great. Didn't need extra hardware. Helps w/ draftiness in frontroom. Door on one is a little off by 1/16-1/8" but was adjusted easily. Only thing that I was a little disappointed with was that it is listed as a fine mesh screen, but it doesn't appear to be as fine a mesh as the one's I've seen that pull closed like a curtain. I went to target near me to buy a nice 5-piece tool set and belows (It's actually pretty nice/sturdy). I would suggest this, and am satisfied with it overall. As for the dimensions listed on Amazon for the small and medium sizes of fireplace doors, they are not accurate. I went to the manufactures website to get exact sizing and they have great photos that explain the in's/out's of a fireplace.
It was easy to install. Is very secure and stable (doesn't move).
And looks fabulous on my polished blck fireplace.
I couldn't be happier with it.

We ordered this glass/screenenclosure for our fireplace on Monday and recieved it on Friday. I looked at the same product at Lowe's and would have taken almost 3 weeks for delivery. Amazon also charges no postage or sales tax and the item was $5.00 cheaper! As for the fireplace glass/screen enclosure I couldn't be happier. Love the dark tinted glass to hide all the ugly smoke marks when there's no fire. It is very high quality and was easy to install. I did it myself in about 45 minutes including unwrapping and reading all the instructions. I would highly recommend this product and Amazon for a pleasurable ordering experience. The fireplace doors days came in four days with the free shipping. I was concerned about the shipping but the parts were very well packed. I had no problems with the sorting of the parts before beginning the project. You need to read the instructions. There are too many parts, installation options and adjustments to make to set the door in the center of the opening. Also, read the ordering instruction carefully as there are three sizes to choose from. I first saw these at Lowes and noticed the three sizes. The display had a model that I was very impressed with. I went home to measure the opening and tried Amazon to check the price. Amazon price was a few dollars less so I order it. From box to fireplace took about an hour. The quality is excellent. The wife is happy that the old brass door set is now history.Honest reviews on Pleasant Hearth CL-3000 Carlisle Fireplace Glass Door, Black, Small
I bought a home a while back that has a huge rock fireplace, but was too afraid of sparks and logs falling out of the open area to ever build a fire, so it went unused for almost two years. I finally decided to get a fireplace screen and door panel to put over the hole and took a chance by buying this online since there was nothing available locally. I am SO pleased with how this looks and how easy it was to install! I am a 30-something woman and I had no problems at all putting this in by myself. The directions were easy to follow and overall I had it installed in less than 30 minutes with no issues. It looks beautiful against my original stone and with almost a full winter gone by it still looks beautiful and works as it should. I'm so glad I got this and would recommend it to anyone.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Pleasant Hearth CL-3000 Carlisle Fireplace Glass Door, Black, Small

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program GreatCo's 50" LED fireplace is a wonderful addition to my home. It gives off a great amount of heat, that can be controlled and put at various settings, and has warmed up a perpetually cold room. But more than that, this fireplace is just incredibly beautiful and really adds something special to the room. The rear back lighting creates a spectacular display and the 'fire' itself looks great, absolutely stunning. One minor drawback is that the instruction booklet wasn't as helpful as it could have been when mounting it, but other than that I am really impressed. If you are thinking of adding an electric fireplace to your home you should really consider GreatCo's fireplace. You will not be disappointed.
The box is quite large but I was able to move it by myself (about the size a 50 inch TV would come in). The unit is very well packed and protected. The unit is in two main pieces that are a lot easier to move and carry than the box. I carried each of the two pieces upstairs and leaned them against my bed. The instructions were straight forward except for the fact that they said to take the mounting bracket out of the box. My mounting bracket was screwed to the main firebox and had to be removed so I could mount it to the wall. This was a good way to package it, it just was different than what the instructions said. The mounting bracket was over 32 inches wide and has screw hole every couple inches. This allows you to position it to hit two wall studs. That is what I did. You can also use the included drywall wall anchors. I like to hit a stud whenever I can.
I made sure the mounting bracket was level and attached it to the wall with 4 screws (included). Once that is on the wall installation is super easy. The firebox fits onto slots/hooks on the mounting bracket. Just lift it on and it stays there. Then replace the two screws that held the firebox to the bracket on the bottom. This assures that it will not come off the wall. You also need to remove a small access panel on the bottom of the firebox and pull out the larger of the two wires. The smaller one is for an in the wall installation kit. The wire will extend through the hole in the access panel, so the panel can be put back on. Now you put the included two sets of stones along the bottom of the firebox on the little slanted shelf. There is a set of clear plastic like stones and a set of white real stones. On the first layer I put one white stone then one clear stone. This used up all the clear ones. Then I added a second row on top of the first of the white ones. The clear stones will pick up the orange light and glow orange hot like coals. Pretty cool.
Next the front glass panel fits on the firebox it fits into another set of slots. Push the bottom of the glass in and it will snap two pegs into spring loaded brackets. Almost done. Now stick your head under the unit and connect the wire coming out of the access panel to the one on the back of the glass panel. Finally plug her in and stand back. Hit the power button on the remote and watch your room be transformed.
The remote is awesome. On it you can:
Select 1 of 4 flame modes. Mostly the brightness changes. And yes the flames look real. I was really surprised.
Select 1 of 12 back light colors including one that cycles through all of them as well as off.
Select a timer to turn the unit off after x hours (variable number). A sleep function like on your TV.
Turn the heater on Level 1 (750 watts) Level 2 (1500 watts) and off. You do not need to run the heater.
Set the thermostat for the heater.
The remote has an LCD display.
Notes:
Installation was easy for me. I used a drill, screwdriver, level, and stud finder (battery one and long finishing nail to confirm).
The instructions refer to the mounting bracket as if it is loose in the box. Mine was screwed to the fire box and had to be removed so it could be mounted on the wall.
There looks to be an add on kit for mounting this fireplace in the wall.
The instructions say the unit needs 13 inches of space on the bottom and none on the sides and top. Bottom is due to the heater.
The heater on the high setting will use all the power on a standard household circuit, so be aware of that so you're not blowing the circuit breaker all the time.
The firebox has power and mode buttons on the side.
It showed up in a box that seemed to scream "I'm a 50" TV! STEAL ME!", though I happened to be home when it arrived. I was a bit surprised by how heavy it was -certainly heavier than a 50" LCD / LED television, arguably heavier than a similarly-sized plasma TV.
As far as looks go, I want to love this, and being an 80's kid, I absolutely do. It's like watching the Fire Channel on an HDTV, which reminds me of the old VHS aquarium tapes. The backlight is... prominent, making me want to fish out my old neon telephone, paint my walls turquoise and pink, and rock some Miami Vice: Season One. But therein lies a fairly serious problem. Even for contemporary style aficionados, it's hard to overcome the gadgety feel GreatCo seems to convey. And if you're not single and embracing your midlife crisis, you may find that your interior decorating committee objects to the style.
On the functional side, I was fairly impressed by how heat was radiating. It isn't like a fireplace, but it's less obvious than an electric space heater. Where it's just like an electric heater, is in the expense. Even with light usage, I noticed my electric bill climbing upwards.
In the right house with the right decor and the right person, you could pull this off. If you're not dead-on, you're going to find yourself stuck with a dangerously kitschy appliance that's expensive to run. Be careful, Crockett.
I was thinking this would be the size of a 50" TV but it is a bit larger. The dimensions are 50" wide and 26" tall, which is probably the size of a 55" TV. It can be mounted on or recessed inside the wall. Personally, I would never build something like this into the wall because if it ever breaks or you get sick of it, you now have a huge hole in the wall. Fortunately, it is pretty slim (6" deep) so mounting it on the wall is perfectly fine.
The instructions are definitely lacking but fortunately, it is pretty straightforward to install. To install, you will need a drill, 1/8" drill bit, Philips screwdriver bit and preferably a level and stud finder. Also, you will need a few paper towels and glass cleaner to clean the glass front. Be sure to clean the inside of the glass before you mount it as it is quite dirty from shipping. A helper is recommended but you could install this yourself if need be. The unit is quite heavy but the weight is mainly due to the glass front. The firebox is separate and that is what you mount to the wall. Once you mount and level the box, you add the included clear and white stones to the bottom frame, then the glass front hangs over and attaches to the box with 4 hooks and snaps into the bottom. You must connect the backlight cable before you snap the bottom into place. There are two screws to lock it in place and you are done. I would strongly advise against using the wall anchors, as this weights about 70 lb. so be smart and bolt it to two studs with the 4 screws (included).
The glass front is elegant and the look of the flame is more realistic than other electric fireplaces I've seen. From across the room, it looks fairly realistic. Up close, it is not going to fool anyone but I've never seen an electric fireplace that would.
The remote has a temperature display, which defaults to degrees Celsius. After pressing the power button, you can hold the temperature button for 3 seconds to change it to Fahrenheit. The remote also controls the flame brightness (toggles between 3 levels), heater high or low, backlight color and timer. You can also turn heat and flame on and off from 2 buttons on the right side of the unit.
Overall, this is a nice fireplace. I think it is expensive for what you get but the front is a piece of solid glass so I'm sure that is a good part of the cost. I took a star off for the terrible instructions and the fact that the mounting bracket was different from what was shown in the instructions. Also, the bracket for mounting inside the wall was not included, although the instructions said it was. I doubt many people will mount this inside the wall anyway.

If you are thinking of adding an electric fireplace to your home you should really consider GreatCo's fireplace. You will not be disappointed.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program When I hit the power button on the remote for the first time and this unit fired up, it lit up my bedroom and completely transformed the feel of the room. I felt I was in an expensive hotel room. I couldn't help but have a huge smile. I love it. The flames look real. The stones look like they are glowing orange hot. It's really surprising how real it looks. The unit is only about 5 inches deep, so it doesn't stick out far from the wall at all.The box is quite large but I was able to move it by myself (about the size a 50 inch TV would come in).

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I was really intrigued by this, because I've never seen a wall-mount LED fireplace before. "Would it look like a TV? Would it heat like a fireplace?" the anticipation nearly killed me.It showed up in a box that seemed to scream "I'm a 50" TV!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This fireplace works wonders on our mezzanine level of our converted loft home. The large second floor master-suite has about 450 sq. ft. but, does not have a radiator. This fireplace makes it toasty, there are two different heating levels to choose from. The flames look real and the ambient LED lighting looks great. installation is pretty straight forward, attach the bracket to the wall (first remove it from the fireplace), hang the main unit and attach the glass portion. Great addition to the room when adding a vented fireplace is not an option.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for GreatCo 50" Gallery Linear Electric LED Fireplace. Includes LED
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My box was delivered with a big dent in the front side where the glass was packed. When I opened the box, I fully expected the glass to be cracked or broken but it was perfect, which speaks highly for the shipping container.I was thinking this would be the size of a 50" TV but it is a bit larger.

Used this kit last year and bought another this year. Best time to do this job is when the stove is cold. The instructions state to remove all old glue, apply a light coat of new glue and let dry for 10 to 15 minutes until it is tacky. This keeps the rope from falling out of the groove. I tried to do my last re-rope seal when the stove was a little warm and the glue went from wet to dry in about five minutes. I used a small wire wheel in my electric drill to remove all the old glue and re-glued. Works when done properly. There is enough glue in this kit to probably do five or more rope changes so if you want to save a little money, keep the leftover glue (sealed) and buy the rope seal in bulk from a woodstove store & forgo the entire kit. As an aside, I tried the graphite rope kit and DO NOT recommend it as the adhesive has a difficult time sticking to the rope. I bought one of those kits and after a few tries, threw it away.Best Deals for Imperial Mfg Group 1/2X6 Gasket Rope Kit Ga0189 Wood Stove
Product arrived early. Nicely packaged and all items were exactly as described. Installation was easy and there was more than enough adhesive. (Have some left over ). So far the stove is perfectly sealed and works great.Wednesday, February 12, 2014

It looks very nice ..havent used it yet but i can tell its going to look good. I love the font.I am so very satisfied with the way this looks and I say this prayer with my 2.5 year old every night. The 2 things I would fix are: add AMEN to the bottom of the prayer and make letters bigger and center for a fuller look!

Lustro Italiano Stone Polish with Sealants, 13-1/2-Ounce Aaerosol Review
Very easy to use, and this product does enhance the shine of the granite. It comes in an aerosol can, which is not so good. But overall, I would rate this product positively.

I have been using Lustro Italiano Stone Polish with Sealsants since my kitchen and bath granite tops were installed. The granite looks as good as the day it was installed. I have recommended this to my friends who have had some other products damage their beautiful granite and now they look like new. The spray can lasts a long time since only a small amount needs to be sprayed on the granite. Also great for other granite and marble around the home. Does not leave an oily residue, dries quickly and leave no film or smudges.
