We absolutely love this fireplace. It is very modern, yet traditional. We have a smaller family room and did not want to be blasted out of the room by a gas fireplace.

This is just perfect. It throws just enough heat to warm things up. I love that I can run it flame only, also. It was very easy to flush mount in our existing wall. We did hire a friend to help with the installation, especially the electrical wiring.

We saw this fireplace at a neighbor's house while looking for an electric fireplace for our home. We liked the look and the fact the blower for the heater directed the heat horizontally versus vertically. For an electric fireplace the flames are about as realistic as you can get; not quite as natural as a gas flame but close enough. We like it and it adds a nice touch to our family room.

I saw this fireplace in a house for sale featured on the New York Times and had to have it, and now I do.

I bought it with a best offer on eBay for $900 shipped. My boyfriend thought that was *rhymes with started.*

It is gorgeous. It doesn't stick out of the wall too far (while an in-wall mounting would be preferable I settled for on the wall). I love looking at it.

As for functionality, I appreciate that in the summer, I will be able to run this fireplace for show, but without heat. As for the heater part... My apartment building is old, and poorly maintained, and therefore not energy efficient, which is why I needed some sort of space heater, and opted for this one. That said, I'm grateful it hasn't been too cold in Boston yet... When it does get colder (like tomorrow), I'm worried that this thing just isn't going to cut it. My room is 12'x18' with a 13' ceiling. The loft bed in my room does benefit from the heat being 8' up, but the lower level doesn't quite benefit enough. I see no reason to run it on low heat always high.

I don't understand why you either have to switch to remote or manual, but can't do both... But I really like having a remote.

Conclusion: good for show, less so for heat (very glad I didn't pay full price which, while searching for this one at a more affordable price, seems to average $1,400 new).

This product is fantastic. It's everything it says and more. The flames are so real! It will also take the chill off of our big family room. It runs quietly too. I am so happy I found this product on Amazon. I've looked for months after having our huge corner brick fireplace removed. I am so pleased with Dimplex. Please, don't be afraid to buy this product. You will not be disappointed.

I hired a professional contractor to install it. It only took about an hour.

The electric fireplace was here before the scheduled date.

I wasn't sure on these fireplaces and it was a lot of money for an electric FP. I have to say we are more then happy with our purchase. They are beautiful and better then expected. Everyone comments on them and how cool they are. We were going to do propane but for a fraction of the price found these and thought we would try them. It was so easy to install and we love the look so much we ordered two. We bought one for our living room and one for our bedroom. We are so happy with this choice.

This item arrived broken. TWICE. (Since it was supposed to be a gift, I sent it back and reordered, but the replacement also arrived broken!!!)

Amazon's packaging was ridiculous: the glass birdbath was sitting on top of its iron hanger, and both were casually wrapped in some paper that wasn't even taped down. No bubble wrap, no peanuts, and the box wasn't even labeled "FRAGILE." Again, this happened TWICE-same shoddy packaging for both orders.

Although I chose to do the 5 to 8 day shipping since it was free and the product arrived in three days, the teal bowl arrived broken. The bottom of the bowl was still intact but there were 3 or 4 pieces of the rim that had broken off. However, the bowl was very beautiful.

I purchased these ornaments because they were different than anything I already had on the tree. Plus, I have always been a fan of inspirational words, whether it be on an art piece or an ornament. However, when I received them, I was slightly disappointed and would give them a 3.5 star rating if I could. The first thing to know (at least the set I was sent) are not like the ones photographed here on Amazon. The photographs show that the glitter finish is both gold and silver. Mine are all silver and don't sparkle for some reason. Unfortunately, in my opinion, these feel very cheaply made. That could just be due to the fact that these are made of light tin, as described on Amazon. I would also *really* like to see the word "Love" added to the collection and I was a bit surprised that it wasn't. I go back and forth in my mind about whether or not I will return these. The only reason I didn't automatically do so is because I do love the words and enjoy ornaments that capture that spirit. I sincerely hope this review helps you. These look truly handmade.. I bought two, and they look very nice bolted to the mantle. The only negative is that the ad doesn't show that they are painted in a hammered grey finish, which I guess is designed to make them look more like forged iron. In my case, a couple coats of black rustoleum solved the problem.

This product LOOKS GREAT in my house but the heat is just OK... Nothing spectacular... It's in my living room and I don't feel a huge difference in temperature when it's on. First off, I am a firm believer that a fireplace should, you know, have real fire in it. I was very hesitant about getting an electric fireplace because some of them are so cheesy looking. After shopping around, my husband and I weren't able to find a gas fireplace that we liked, and we weren't sold on gel, so we decided to try out the electric. I'm so glad that we did. The fireplace is absolutely lovely! It is very heavy duty and well made. It is veneered, but you wouldn't know it. We had to really look to actually determine that it wasn't solid wood. It is a bit of work to put together, but if you have a power drill it is much easier. The flames and logs are controlled independently so you can make them brighter or dimmer. On the lowest 3 settings the flames are very convincing, to the point that people have asked if it is a gas or electric fireplace. You can also run it with or without heat, which is very nice. It also comes with a handy little remote. We have a small living room (11 x 15) and use the fireplace to supplement our forced air heat. It makes the room very cozy and warm. The shelving on the sides is very handy, we were able to retrofit it to house our electronics. Everyone who has seen it loves it and so do we! The only thing that I didn't like was the obnoxious warning sticker on the front glass. It peels off easily but leaves a lot of sticky residue. It came off after some scrubbing and doesn't change my opinion about the quality of the product.

This fireplace heats my 24 X 24 office perfectly and looks so beautiful and creates a cozy yet professional environment. My 47 inch flat TV sits on top which was the primary reason for this unit! Winters are tough in Chicago and rather than turning up the heat in the whole house, I can tourn on the fireplace and I am warm and cozy in my at-home professional office! the price was compatible with producs at Lowes, Home Depot and Mernards but this is much better looking and a fair price!

The product looks good when assembled, and assembly is not difficult, instructions are pretty good considering it comes from China. We had some problems, however, first with the delivery, when one of the delivery men (it comes via a trucking company, as it is too big for UPS or Fedex) dropped the box containing the fireplace unit in our driveway because he was in such a hurry that he tried to carry our paperwork in one hand and the box in his other hand-didn't work! Luckily, the packing was strong enough that there was no damage to the unit. Then, when opening the fireplace mantel box, we found three damaged pieces inside-surprisingly they were in the center of the carton, presumably well-protected from shipping damage. Who knows? Maybe they were packed in damaged condition at the factory in China. Anyway, a phone call to SEI in Texas had the required replacement parts on their way, and they arrived 8 calendar days later via UPS. Customer service was good, but I was still frustrated by having to wait the extra week to continue the assembly, as I had already assembled the bookcases. I think this item is a decent value compared to the prices I've seen in stores or online. However, I also believe all electric fireplaces like this are very overpriced considering what you actually get. We hope it will last for a good long time, but we'll have to wait and see on that.

we bought two of these heaters a long time ago, one for our garage and one to warm our chilly bedroom with a bad radiator.

they worked great, nice and warm, (the way we like it) then our one in the garage stopped working and burnt out in the flood (hurricane sandy when we had no power) we found that out when it came back on, so we tossed out the old one and used the good one (which was in the bedroom) that one worked great until my husband was in the garage and my son came to give him some papers. he accidentally kicked the holmes heater off the stool and onto the concrete floor. he tried to put it back on heat level one, but what happens?...... It starts making a GRINDING noise and emitting a horrible burning smell. so he unplugged it for ten minutes and let my 10 yr old open it up and saw that the fan belt somewhat damaged and the blade just wobbling loose inside witch caused the fan not to function right and that caused the heating coil to overheat.

I hope you find my review helpful! I still do give this heater five stars cause it's not the heater's fault, we broke it. BUT if you want to try what my son did about fixing it, UNPLUG THE UNIT FIRST!!! For at least 10 minutes.

I purchased this product thinking I would get what was pictured, an OEM Aprilaire water panel. Instead I received a knock off product sold elsewhere on Amazon.com for $5. The product I received was an RPS Products BestAir Water Pad RPS #A35 Furn Humidifier Water Pad. I feel ripped off.

Amazon did quickly refund my purchase price as I did not get what I was promised. Amazon is aware that myself and others have had this bait and switch problem and I hope they update the picture and description to reflect you are not getting an OEM product as pictured.

I do not understand why people who were scammed still gave this product a good review. This is not what you ordered and paid for. I would give it zero stars if that was possible.

I cannot believe that Amazon lets these folks get away with showing an real Aprilaire replacement panel in the picture and then sending a cheap knock off product. It is a complete scam. Yes, Amazon refunded the money spent, but it really hurts their reputation.

You can spend $$$ to have your heating and cooling people come replace your humidifier filter, or you can buy this and do it yourself.

The box has clear instructions and it takes zero intelligence. It's about as hard as cleaning the lint filter in your dryerthe difference is you just toss out the old filter and replace with the new, obviously. From start to finish, it takes about three and a half minutes.

You should replace this filter no less often than once a year.

Got tired of using a bunch of paper to light my fires. Mine arrived in fine shape, but was missing the rod that connects the soap stone to the handle. Not a big deal, the factory sent me a replacement very quickly. I use lamp oil in mine and have had no problems. I did have issues getting it to take a flame in the beginning, but I quickly found that if I stuck the stone in some ashes and then lit the ashes, it worked great. The ashes acted like a "wick" to take the flame, because the straight lamp oil wouldn't. Used it for 2 winter seasons and no issues.

Quality of this one is good, but "cherry" surface somehow looks cheaper. My main complaint is as always completely clueless customer service of Bush. My only concern for this piece was exact space between top and middle shelves, which Cust Rep reassured me is 9.17". Well -not true, since there is a metal support bar which runs across whole unit under the top shelf, which is not mentioned anywhere. I love this fireplace. I did a lot of shopping around to get the best price. (hint hint) I am very happy that the construction is metal, not plastic. It isn't thick metal but at least it's not plastic! The only assembly required is screwing on the legs (which ARE made of thick plastic but it is not obvious.) It's probably better for the floor that the legs are plastic so there is no rust or dents. The flame, logs, embers, and log holder all look surprisingly realistic. I was skeptical before I got it. There are 2 heat settings. It gives off a lot of heat. I have a big, drafty bedroom and it heats that place right up, even on Low!!! You do not have to wait for it to heat up. Instant heat. Very quiet, too. You can have the flame on with the doors open or closed, the heat on or off. The "fire" is behind a crystal-clear glass panel. The heat comes from the bottom of the unit. In my experience no part of the fireplace gets hot except the very bottom where the heat comes from. I am not worried about my kids or pets getting burned. My cat sleeps on top of it. It plugs into a regular outlet. No special cord, no 220 line, no professional installation. Just plug it in wherever you want it. Sweet.

This is one of 3 artificial fireplaces in our home...I prefer the look of them rather than a space heater...We have a large 105 year old home and the extra heat sources are needed in some rooms...This is my favorite looking one...I like the fire, but think the logs are a bit bright. You can change the bulbs and I may try a lower watt bulb when I am in the mood to change it. I read a review about it being metal...only a tin type back cover...but it is plenty sturdy. I really like the size. It is a bit bigger that some others of this style...There is no remote, but it's not a big deal to me. I like that you can have the fire on without the heat on. I also like the heat itself...low is nice for a bedroom. I eventually turn it off before going to sleep. I only gave it a 4 star review because sometimes it sounds like a cricket...with a bit of a low sounding chirping and it stops if I tap underneath where the heater box is. (maybe a squeaky fan) And also because the logs were to bright in my opinion...Overall I really like it. I looked at a lot of them before deciding and the price and style were right for me. Also came in 24 hrs for an extra $3.00 yes Three dollars...that was really nice, since I was hoping to have it before Christmas. I ordered it the morning of the 20th and it arrived the afternoon of the 21st.

This stove looks great and puts out enough heat in our great room that I eventually have to turn it to low.(about an hour or so) We have a high ceiling and a loft upstairs so there is a lot of area to heat. We have radiant heat flooring and it sucks the life out of our wallet using the propane every winter!! Thought we would take a chance on this stove after a lot of investigation of all types, sizes, prices and brands. My husband was very skeptical, but now he is happy that I am a very good shopper.

Some reviews complained that it was made out of plastic. Well yes, it is made out of a heavy duty type plastic which enables you to move the stove around if you need to. If it was made out of metal it would be to heavy to move. The stove weighs about 60 lbs. as it is. I put furniture pads on the feet so if I need to move it I can just push it on the hardwood floors to another location. The flame is realistic to the point that I want to go and throw another log on the fire!!

Order the stove, enjoy the stove.

Arrived with a cracked frame. One of the reviews I read before purchasing stated that it is metal. The only metal I could find are the hinges. The entire body is plastic.

It makes a pleasant "fire". We put it in our bedroom and it keeps us mildly warm, we were hoping for more heat. It is OK, just not a +5.

The manufacturer refunded $20 for the cracked frame.

I have had this electric fireplace for appox. 3 months now. It is perfect for that little extra heat needed. I have it in my living room near where I usually sit and I am toasty warm. My furnace does not come on as often, even in our -20 below zero weather here in northern Wisconsin, I was never chilled. I have not had to bring out my electric blanket for extra warmth this winter. Great product. It is not metal but it is sturdy enough. The heat comes out from the bottom which will get your toes warm standing in front of it. My Grandson loves sitting in front of it in the mornings when he wakes up. I hope it lasts a few winters, I love it!!

I really wanted a corner fireplace, I already have an amish fireplace, so I ordered stonegate Corner Fireplace. When it arrived, it had so many parts, and not good directions, and when we DID start to screw pieces together, the whole thing fell apart. I paid $300 for this? My husband went to the hardware store and bought screws that would hold together, it took 2 1/2 hrs to get it together after we figured out how and used store bought screws that worked. I was very disappointed in this product for the price I paid for it. It is together and in my kitchen, but the pressed board like material that they gave us for this was very poor, I would not recommend it to anyone until they refamp the material and get better directions and materials that will hold this fireplace together. This has flimsy made weave with inside coating, it works, but so thin, it is obvious it won't likely last though the winter. I might just make my own out of heavy duty gore tex or denim and just keep the stand. If you don't use the carrier that often will probably be fine. Other than the flimsy weave, it is convenient for getting wood and bringing it inside rather easily.
