I was so nervous ordering this mantel without seeing it; but it's GORGEOUS! I ordered the unfinished 72-inch for my fireplace. I called to order this exact mantel from my local fireplace store, since I could always get a store credit if I didn't like it, but they would have charged me close to $400! I took my chances by ordering it through Amazon.com and I'm so happy I did! My home decor is European eclectic. I furnish a lot from Pottery Barn and Ballard Design, but in my opinion, this mantel will match almost every design style.

We ordered this for a new fireplace we had installed in our basement home theater/family room. The product was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The mounting system provided with the mantel made installation a breeze. Simply attach one mounting bracket to the wall and hang the mantel. The finish is very glossy and the color is exactly what we wanted. Our only disappointment is that it was made in China. We didn't realize it until we unpacked the box. We thought we were buying an American made product from Tennessee. We would still recommend this product.

The reviews we read are true on this! It arrived yesterday and we started to try to install it. Rather than screw it up because between the two of us we are not that handy, we called a guy who has done some work for us. He got it up in about an hour today and it looks just beautiful. We have the Christmas stockings hanging on the fireplace now. And the little spot on the end without any color? That's the Pearl trademark!

This was the perfect mantel we had been searching for. Perfect size, easy installation, beautifully finished surface and 10 inches deep. We kinda wished that the corners were 90 degree corners.....and a darker color choice (more mission style) but oh well....you can't have everything. We love it!

Don't waste your money on any of these things... If you have a dryer, or you know someone with a dryer, just collect the lint from the lint catcher and add a small amount of hand sanitizer... One spark, and you're in business...

Fuel burns clean. We use it in a portable fireplace in a yoga studio and there is no appreciable smell to the fuel when burning and there is only a slight smoke smell when extinguished. Unlike many of the bio-ethanol products it appears to be mostly ethanol and iso-propanol. There appears to be no methanol content and as such the unburned product smells more like moonshine compared to the methanol which smells more like acid.

We tried the fuel out in our Brasa fireplace last night. It works very well and burns clean. There is a slight smell, however nothing overwhelming ...use the differenct scents to lessen the fuel smell. This does give off some heat, which surprised us..

This fuel is hard to light, but once it gets started it Burns beautifully and without any odor. It is an improvement over the fuel I was using which was volatile. I'll take slow lighting over unpredictable spattering.

This item was priced a little hight I thought but, my mother in law needed a replacement shed. If you never put one of these together I would not recommend it or be prepared to spend some time on it (2-person for sure). I have put up quite a few of these and am now getting good at but, don't tell anyone.

I bought these with some pine cones and glowing embers to make my propane fire pit look so very realistic. People cant believe the fire isn't a wood one except for they cant smell the smoke. Very realistic when burning.

I rated these a 4 as I haven't actually "burned them" yet. The look is very real and when arranged properly (with a good BTU burner), they provide the perfect, final touch to our fire pit. They also go great with the crushed, grey lava rock crystals.

this log holder is very sturdy and attractive. It looks nice up next to our front stairs and will make getting the wood in winter so much easier.The bottom logs must be long enough to lay across the bottom opening,so make sure to measure b-4 cutting up your wood.

Okay, so a natural wood-burning fire is eye candy in and of itself, but with these color cones, now we're talkin' EYE CANDY!

Alright, they do smell like chemicals when burning, in a campfire setting. However, if your chimney has good draft, you cannot smell them when burning in a fireplace. And they do tell you in the instructions not to cook over them, makes sense.

I find it useful (since they're spherical and tend to want to wander off) to use the barbeque tongs to place them exactly where I want them.

As long as I can afford beauty in my life, I'll make these cones part of my fire burning tradition (along with Lightning Nuggets to help get the fire started, and burning to death some Johnsonville brats, also known as meat candy...hoo, yeah!)
