I chose this set mainly because of lifetime guarantee. It is heavy, sturdy and on a flat surface isnt wobbly. I found this set under the handforged section of Pilgrims website, however it's not handforged like you might think, there is definate machine work involved and the powder coating doesnt hide the obvious too well. The vintage iron finish doesnt look authentic by any means, like I said it's powder coating. There are quite a few cosmetic blemishes which you might not be expecting for the price; nothing I want to be too picky about, but it does look like sloppy workmanship. I posted some pictures to get a better idea of the finish and flaws you might expect. Overall I am satisfied enough with this purchase and wouldnt want to spend more on a tool set, so I can easily live with the negatives especially for the guarantee. One more thing in case you were wondering...Yes, it's made in China.
