This log holder is sturdy. I pile it up with oak logs about 1 to 1.5 feet above the handles and it's still solid. Just based on the picture, I didn't think it would be that strong, so that was a pleasant surprise. I also like the fact that the bottom where the logs sit is not a cloth or leather sling like some other log holders. I think it will last longer because it's all metal.
In case the color is important to you, the one I got was not exactly a solid color like the one in the picture, and overall the color is actually about half-way between the color in the picture and the color of copper. In fact, mine appears to be a copper colored metal that was stained with a dark stain, and the stain didn't get into every imperfection of the metal, so it looks a little bit like an antique sort of. I like the actual color better than the picture.It's a little smaller then I would like but still a good log holder. Is I little more like cooper then bronze but that's ok.
