It was hard for one person alone to assemble and the directions provided could have been clearer. would certainly not recommend but I guess I am stuck with it, since I don't want to go through the return process. Also, there were quite a few dings in the tv stand.

This product was exactly what we needed for my son's apartment so that he could store all of his electronic equipment in a more organized manner. It is very sturdy, but had several nicks and dings, particularly in some of the corners. I realize that is probably a shipping challenge, but it also is a problem with how it is packaged. The color is very dark, probably more black than brown which worked well for our use. The product itself is very good and I'd recommend it. Shipping without damage is the challenge due to the packaging. For the record, the damage was not severe enough that we felt the need to return it, but we did use a black magic marker for some of the repairs. If we had been placing this in a very visible location, it would have been more of a problem.
