Cheap Woodeze 5UC-680 Replacement Screen Rod Kit

I had originally bought this kit under the belief that it came with the mesh screen but it was my own fault for not seeing that it ONLY contains the rods and mounting equipment. Even then however, nothing but the equipment came in the box. No instructions, screws, etc and even then, the mounts are very sub-par quality.

Two metal rods about 3/16" diameter with a plate. Material is flimsy. No directions. Found directions from another vendor who advised bending end where there is a hole for screwing to side wall of chimney. On bending end piece with screw hole the rod broke. Requires drilling holes in stone or metal fireplace side walls and top cross piece. Plate is easily deformed when handled (I had to enlarge screw hole). I had to jerry-rig installation by drilling deep hole in side wall and insert rod into hole.
