We depend upon our wood stove for winter heat, and getting wood fires started quickly has become much easier since we discovered Seymour Fire Blox. No more diesel or kerosene, no more pitch sticks, no more bellows to coax an unwilling fire--these little squares are so dependable and fast. We don't need kindling anymore, either; we go straight to the larger pieces of wood and place a lit square between the bottom logs before piling on the other logs. I was skeptical of the claim that even damp wood will light and catch fire, but it's true. Unlike other fire starters I've tried, Fire Blox are odorless and get a fire started every time, the first time. This box of 24 would be a good size to find out whether you like the Fire Blox. I order the larger, more economical boxes of 144 squares from Virginia Radiant.

Since my husband's stroke I have been the one to start our fire in the fireplace. He always split pine and used it as starter. I did for the first winter. Last winter I was in a fireplace store and ourchased your product. I ran out and as it was quite aways from home and my husband could not be left alone never went back and tried two other brands. I decided to order from the Internet and wow one brick is all I need and a fire starts everytime. I was using two and one day I used only one and it started. I will never buy a different kind. Thanks for a great product.
