I was happy with the way these tongs looked, and they seemed fairly sturdy...but they actually broke within just a few days of them arriving at the house! One of the screws holding the tongs together snapped in half and popped out. My husband was able to fix it by replacing the screw...but I was pretty disappointed that my $12 was a waste!

We decided to look online for fireplace tongs since they were not available locally. We have used them once since we rec'd them and they work great. No problem moving wood around in the fireplace. They were also a great price. The only problem I have with ordering online is the high cost of shipping. It is kind of annoying to pay more for shipping than the item itself cost

They work but i would like to see a heavier construction. In the catalog they looked exactly like a pair I had years ago but these are much more flimsy. They are just OK, that's all
