If you read the bottle it sounds very horrible. Like bad things can happen when using this product. This is supposed to be used with professionals and with certain spray equipment. I don't know what to do with it now. Sounds like the black stuff would come off but also says it will burn your skin and you have to neutralize it as well. Gloves and tyvek suits or something. Respirator. Sounds horrible. Used for inside flutes I guess but professional cleaning. I don't know if I should use it or not. Now I seem to feel like I have this dangerous chemical in the house and if someone doesn't read it then they might end up blind or something.

You'd have to be a moron to blame the manufacturer for you choosing the wrong dimensions. Read the dimensions which are clearly marked on the ad. They're designed to fit over Brookstone's Log Racks and they fit perfectly. Whether that happens to match the amount of wood you want to stack or not is certainly not Brookstone, OR Amazon's fault.

That having been said this is a moderately flimsy material, but not like cheap tarp. It holds up well in Michigan winter and even seems to resist a few inches of frozen clumps of snow pressing down on it without tearing. But it's not going to be your heavy gauge, Sunbrella quality vinyl. We usually go through a rack of wood (one of Brookstone's 8 footers we have two lined up along the house). So what we do is just bring the cover in as soon as that rack's empty. Fold it up, put it downstairs and let it dry out while we're working through the second pile.

Doing this for a few months and they really seem to be holding up to the abuse smashingly. I especially like the velcro tear away fronts. I would hate having to run out to the woodpile in my slippers in 10 degree temps and have to fight with the cover before I could reach some wood. This velcro feature elliminates that.

The downside to these covers, aside from the fact that some folks require that they be a particular size before they'll buy one and just be happy with it ... is the fact that they have a tendency to sag as the wood depletes. Brookstone would have done well to ask its manufacturer to attach some grommets or a couple of bunjees for tying the bottoms down to the legs of the rack to keep it taut. But we're just going to throw some grommets on there ourselves because it looks like as durable as they are it will be worth it to upgrade them ourselves.

These seem to be the most affordable, most durable and best design on the net right now, as I don't particularly care for the top-only covers. We get some nasty snow drifts and I need coverage right to the ground.

These are a good buy at 35 clams a pop as long as you're not expecting Yacht grade vinyl.

well made bracket for mounting the heart shaped bird bath. Finely machined and coated, apparently, to last a while. Threaded post had no trouble fitting with the sleeve on the decoration. Mounted easily on a 4X4 post (full size). Did not come with mounting screws and anteque copper colored screws are far between, but it won't show and holes are properly sized for sturdy screws.

I purchased this cap mount to mount an Achla birdbath with a threaded mounting female end on the underside of the copper birdbath.The first cap mount I got from Amazon was defectivethe threaded stud was welded to the flange in a crooked fashion. This made the birdbath sit down on one side and up on the other. I returned the flange/stud and the replacement was perfect. The stud was at the correct 90 degree angle to the flange and the birdbath sat level on the post. This cap goes on the top of a 4X4 so your cut on the 4x4 top needs to be level or close to level. All in all this cap made it easy to mount the birdbath.Just screw it downwards on the flange. I would buy this again if I needed another one!

A must have for the fire pit. I expected something more flimsy. It's actually pretty solid and definitely better than the cheap junk the fire pits come with. The hooked end will work to lift the cover off the firepit. The other will allow for poking, pushing and pulling without worrying about breaking it. It's nice and long too so no worries of getting burned unless you've got a bonfire going in your fire pit... But I think you've got more to worry about at that point.

I've had this stand for approximately 72 hours and all I can say is I'm very pleased with the look of it and that it does it's job (it holds up the TV).

Set up:

It wasn't too bad, it took me about 2.5 hours from opening the box to having it fully built. Just a word of warning, the bases are large, so I would HIGHLY recommend getting someone to help you out or you may face a good bit of frustration. Also the directions are pretty poor, they are just diagrams for the most part (there aren't really any written directions to be found), so if you haven't had the pleasure of putting together household furniture, just be prepared to double check what you are doing.

Look:

It looks great, the finish is a very deep brown (looks black in darker rooms) and the metal handles are a nice touch, they stand out. Not a big deal for me, but the little feet are plastic, so they will not shine/glare if that is the look you want.

Performance:

Works like a dream, I can't say if it holds the full 150 pounds it claims, but it holds a 90 pound TV right now with no bowing or deformity so I'd say it's doing just fine.

All in all, a great product that does what it is supposed to.

I'm very happy with my purchase of this screen. Because of a strange layout to my apartment I needed to place this behind the TV to conceal inputs and wires, and it looks great. I even put some LED lights on the back of my TV to give a slight glow to the screen and it looks beautiful and ethereal. This was so much cheaper through Amazon, arrived in time (I ordered it RIGHT before Christmas), and is very sturdy and attractive. I have three curious cats, and they have yet (almost a year since I bought it) to knock it over! Just make sure you are consistent in which side you pick for the bottom, because if you have a brick hearth, it will scratch up the finish a bit when you move it around. As long as you don't flip it, it shouldn't matter.

This picture is NOTHING like the screen I received! The one i recieved is a dull, black finish and does not even stand level when unfolded I also recieved no paperwork or invoice of any kind with the package. I contacted Amazon for refund instructions and the email from Wayfair was for me to send them a picture (of their product!!!) and model #. I responded I didn't have access to a camera to send them a photo of their own product and since there was no paper work included I was only guessing the model # was what was stamped on the outside of the shipping carton. Within a week, I had recvieved no response to the email but to my surprise received another dull black screen...this one did include an invoice. I again contacted Amazon totally frustrated due to lack of response to my first email and also now I had 2 screens I didn't want. I did receive a prompt response from Wayfair after the second email and they also sent a shipping label so I did not need to pay to return it and was told if I didn't hear from the warehouse within 3 weeks to keep the first screen. I have received my refund but would not recommend this product at all due to inferior quality and looking absolutely nothing like the advertisted picture.

This arrived about a week earlier that I expected and it was completely intact and ready to use. I was expecting to have to assemble the panels or return a dented, uneven screen. It was well packaged and all I had to do was wipe it down with a damp cloth (it was covered with a rusty dust). It looks great and was well worth the price. The only drawback is that it was made in China...but I couldn't find a screen that wasn't!

I did not purchase it to use as a fireplace screen. This item will do very nicely for me be because it will actually be used as a sort of "functional" wall hanging/novelty decoration. Note: if you are planning to attach the feet and set it on the floor for use as a fireplace screen, in my opinion the feet are small for this heavy item and I think it would fall fairly easily if it were bumped by a child or large-ish dog. But for my plans the feet are not an issue. Also, the color is darker than in the photos, more yellow/ivory, but again that suits my purpose just fine.

The fireplace screen gives a beautiful effect to the room, as I was hoping. The color is a little more on the cream side than it appeared, though--more antique looking in color than off white. The only thing I wish was better is that the screen is not totally level with the legs attached so it tilts a bit. Not too noticeable though. The service and turn around time were perfect. Great price on this site when compared to others!

I received this yesterday and tried it out on my Weber Kettle grill today. I preheated it as directed and placed some rib eye steaks on the Tuscan grill. Giving each a quarter turn after two minutes produced a very distinctive diamond-shaped pattern that makes your food look very professionally-grilled. At 14" square, you have a fair-sized grilling surface as well. It is heavy to be sure, but cast iron is one of the best grilling surfaces imaginable and the V-shaped grates will assure you that your food will not only taste great, but look really appetizing too!

NOTE: Make sure that you season this accessory before using it or you will probably get a very unpleasant metallic taste. I coated the entire surface, including the removable legs, with a light film of melted shortening. I placed two baking pans lined with foil into a 350 degree oven and stood the grill upright on the sheets. I baked it for an hour, shut off the oven and went to bed. In the morning, it was cool and completely seasoned. After using it, I let it cool down and soaked it in hot water in the sink. Then I scraped it down with a plastic brush and repeated the seasoning process. This really isn't necessary but I do it just to add a stronger finish.

The size is perfect for camping. It's small enough to throw in the car and take with you, but big enough for grilling steaks for 4 people. The bars come to sharp peaks and make professional looking grill marks. It can also be used as a surface for cooking with pots and pans. Cast iron is the absolute best for grilling, so it's worth it to me to put in the extra effort caring for it. I suggest removing the feet for oiling so that the space between the feet and the grate stay in good shape.

About the feet: A couple of people complained that they fall off when cooking. First of all, I can almost guarantee you that they had a habit of screwing them on too tight and they stripped the threaded inserts. Just screw it on until you feel it starting to resist and then stop. That will prolong the life of the threading. What they failed to mention in their poor reviews is that the threaded inserts can be removed with a hex key and easily replaced with new threaded inserts. You can buy stainless steel threaded inserts at a good hardware store for less than $1 each. If your hardware store doesn't have them, then grainger.com has them, but you have to buy in packs of 100 for things like this for about $20 total.

For the price of this grill, it's not a bad design. I would have liked to see a more robust foot system, where you insert a rod into a slot and secure it with a pin. But, there's is nothing better than this grill available on the web (I looked a lot). Because it's cast iron and because you can replace the threaded inserts, with proper care this grill can live longer than you ever will. Everything else I've seen that is small enough to take camping is a piece of junk that won't get you the same cooking results because they are made of enameled iron or some other inferior metal that can't transfer heat properly and can't handle high heat when you want to sear meats. Plus, most other products won't last for more than 3 or 4 seasons at best.

I have a flat bottom, terra cotta clay, fire pit. This tuscan grill sits in it very nicely. With some mesquite wood burnt down town embers, it make great flavor for steaks, burgers, about anything you can think off. And since it's cast iron, it can handle the heat. And with some protection from the elements, when not in use, this grill could last for ever.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars, instead of 5 is because the legs, are slightly uneven... very slighty. With that said, the grill still works great. On a camp fire, the legs wouldn't even be an issue. And even in my fire pit it works very nice.

Just being nit-picky.

The legs screw off for easy storage, but I leave the legs on mine all the time. Keep in mind, this is not for delicate cuts of meat and the like. However, with it's simple design, it's open to one's own creativity. Stack some cement blocks/bricks around the grill... and wind issues won't be much of a problem....... And for me this is half the fun of this gizmo... seeing what all I can get out of this thing....... I guess it's the caveman, primal, lower-life form in all of us........It's fun and simple, and only limited to ones own bravery and talents on a open flame grill...... Heck.... throw a cast iron skillet on the top, and bada-bing.... a stove!!! Genious!!!

What makes this grill so awesome is that if fits on a 32" dutch oven table with plenty of room for a dutch oven next to it.

I recently got back from a car camping trip, and it was awesome. it can be used as is, or you can place foil on top for a slower grill, or place a griddle on top for eggs and bacon and pancakes. Or you can wrap ribs in foil, place on this grill, and then wrap heavy duty foil over the entire dutch oven table to create a more oven like ambient heat environment. Great job Steve Raichlen. Awesome grill.

Everywhere I go when grilling, wind is a problem. So, for this unit, if you have the same issues I do, make sure you get a windscreen. The duo green 11" windscreen is good and portable, but my new favorite is the 12" wind screen on my dutch oven table.

Assuming you have that piece taken care of, the Steven Raichlen Tuscan grill rocks. Seriously rocks.

It's awesome that it's cast iron, and instead of a rounded or flat grill bar design, this uses a triangular tube design, much like a Toblerone chocolate. That makes some beautiful grill marks on pork cutlets and steaks. Wish all grills were designed this way.

The grill size at 14" x 14" is fantastic because it's just portable enough for car camping, and large enough to put a decent amount of meat to feed 4 at a time. Really a perfect size for portability and usability.

The leg height is just right too. Since you never know if you'll be on a small campfire or a dutch oven table, the short legs means that small wood fires and briquette coals both work well. That is a huge plus.

A lot of reviews mention that the screw treads get damaged really easily, and I'm really happy to have read those reviews. tight screws aren't important for this grill, so just tighten them enough to keep the legs from wobbling to make sure the treads don't get damaged and that's good enough. Hope by being gentler with the treads, I won't have the same issues others have had. But one reviewer did note that the screws were removable and replaceable, so keep that in mind.

Used this three times already after spending two days "seasoning" the grill. I know there is a right way to season it, and read about how that's done, but my lazy method worked and I can't tell the difference from my other pre-seasoned cast iron equipment, plus the food tasted fine with no metallic after-taste, so my method seems good enough. In case anyone is interested, I just sprayed pam on it all over, brushed it in as best I could, put some coals underneath, and after it dried, sprayed again, brushed it down and put it back above the coals. Repeated this twice more and it looked fine to me. every time I use it, I spray it down again, and now it looks like a well seasoned cast iron grill. Don't shoot me....I'm just too lazy to use the oven.

I'd been looking at the TexSport cast iron grill for a long tim, and what held me back was the thinner wiring of the TexSport grill surface, so finding this Tuscan grill, which seems to be everywhere, really made my day.

If you like charcoal grilling, and want something portable, but still want cast iron, this is a pretty good way to go. Add a good dutch oven table and it's grill heaven.
