If you are buying this to use with battery candles, like the remote controlled set I have, be aware that each candle platform screw has a spike for holding a regular wax candle. I'll need to find regular screws to fit because otherwise the feet fall off.

I am renting a cottage with a lovely fireplace, but the landlord stated it can not be used. I searched everywhere for a candle arbor, and settled on this because of the versatility and price. I could not be more pleased. You can arrange it to suit the size of your fireplace, and to your liking. When lit it creates a wonderful ambiance. I have had many compliments from guests. I do wish the fireplace worked, but this is the next best thing. Would also be great for summer use in your fireplace as you get the flickering light but no heat. Even unlit it is very attractive. I just moved into a new home (to me) and thought the fireplace had gas only to find out that the gas to the fireplace had been cut off long ago. I saw something similar to this at a friend's house recently and had to get something similar to what she had. Looked online and found this. Just got it today, put it together and put two candles that shouldn't look good on it on the holders just to see what it would look like. It looked so great. Can't wait to go out and buy the appropriate sized candles. I'm going to do that tonight. I've very excited about this candleabra. I would highly recommend. Be careful when you take it out of the box because all the pieces fell all over the place and that made putting it together a little more difficult. We needed some sort of candelabra that allowed 7 candles for our Sunday Evening Service. This one has worked excellently to date as it allows flexibility in presentation, permits our candle lighting ritual to proceed with ease and stores compactly in the days between services. The varied heights is a particular benefit as well.So, for our purposes it is great! If there were to anything that was less than grand it would be the workmanship, i.e., candle holding discs a bit awry when screwed in, chipped paint, etc.
