Just received my heater & was amazed at how much heat it throws out! One thing I like is that the vent is on top. I have a freestanding Dura Flame that has the vent on the bottom & doesn't even come close to the Heat Surge. I do wish that it had the remote feature on the mini.

I only recently discovered that this small Heat Surge is being made. Looks great at night and puts out a surprising amount of heat for its size.

This heater does look good but it's no miracle, it throws off the same amount of heat as a $10 heater bought at a big box store. And it uses ALOT of electric!! Do your homeowrk, a 1200 watts it's anything but cheap to run.

Beware! If you're think you're getting a standard size looking fireplace, think again. It's about the size of a small guitar amplifier. No dimensions are given of it in how it's advertised so no way of knowing in advance how big it really is. I had to laugh when I received it because it was so tiny. I would not recommend this heater to anyone, don't care how good they say it heats! I returned it the very next day I received it. To make matters even worse I'm still waiting to be refunded, it's been a month ago that I returned it. Not sure who to blame here, Amazon or Heat Surge?
