If you read the bottle it sounds very horrible. Like bad things can happen when using this product. This is supposed to be used with professionals and with certain spray equipment. I don't know what to do with it now. Sounds like the black stuff would come off but also says it will burn your skin and you have to neutralize it as well. Gloves and tyvek suits or something. Respirator. Sounds horrible. Used for inside flutes I guess but professional cleaning. I don't know if I should use it or not. Now I seem to feel like I have this dangerous chemical in the house and if someone doesn't read it then they might end up blind or something.

This set is super sleek, uncluttered, but still warm and traditional. I needed black, which is hard to find (so many sets are bronze), so this was a no-brainer for me. Love it.

Hotshot 330 CFM Fireplace Blower + Speed control & Temp. Switch Review

When I ran the Hotshot 330 it was louder then I thought it would be. I hooked it up by my stove and heated the temp. switch till it came on. I know you can control the speed by using the speed control, even then it was a little loud.

What I did is sent it back and bought the 160 CFM universal fireplace blower fan 15" I already had on in the fireplace so I put both of them side by side with a temp. switch. Now not only is it quite but there is twice the air flow !!! I tryed them both out by using a light near the temp. switch. All is well.

I received the product there were no instructions. I plugged it in to test it, and it did not work. It took several phone calls to reach someone. They explained it has a built in temp gauge that turns on when the temp reaches a certain point. It would have been nice to know that before I took the time to pack it up to return it!

I was in that weird "I should buy everything on Amazon" mood when I bought this. You can get them cheaper at Target or another local store. It works fine for what it is.

The shovel is smaller than pictured and it does not go together the way they show. However, I really brought this for the brush which was well worth the price. I can sweep hot coals back into the fireplace and it does not melt. The hanging hook is really great as well. Get if you need a brush but not if you want a combo set.

The short handles are convenient for cleaning up when you're sitting by the hearth, and the hooks are handy. These were a great deal at $15, and they look OK and seem sturdy enough. But the workmanship is not great: many of the cuts, rivets, welds, etc. are rough or crooked.

The clicker on these lighters isn't nearly as stiff as others I have purchased in the past making it much easier to use, but it does requires enough strength that my children would not be able to light it. I tend to have a weaker-than-normal grip so these lighters are the perfect solution for that. I also like the fact that I can turn the flame up and down. I have it on the lowest setting since I primarily use these to light candles. I recommend.
