I love these things. They burn for about 15 minutes, and are perfect for heating up enough water to make my morning oatmeal and a 20-oz cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Put one in a tommy cooker or special forces stove, and you can make a quick meal and hot drink just about anywhere. The 350 count package also drops the price about ten cents per nugget, which doesn't hurt my feelings or my wallet.

Grill is well built, but had made in Taiwan sticker on it. Cut out is not 12x14 more like 10x12 (not exact, has to be measured). 12x14 is edge to edge, not air opening. Does not have a full recessed edge that drops into hole. On each of the four corners it has about 1/2" edging to keep it from floating around and lines it up. Very pleased.

Ordered these to replace 4 of the ugliest vent covers on my fireplace (I didn't put the UGLY ones up-they were there when we bought the house).. I've searched the webno avail then I found these on AMAZONand they are perfect!!!! They are HEAVY (castiron-duh) but well worth it! I was very concerned about ordering this part due to the fact that it is supposed to fit so many different models, and that seemed too easy. Just installed in a 28 x 24 garage with an 8' ceiling (the ceiling is not completely insulated yet). It's a cold windy day (0 degrees wind chill), and this heater is keeping the garage warm enough to work in a flannel shirt. Without the ceiling being finished, much of the heat is obviously escaping right out the roof vents. I do believe that once the ceiling is completed, it will do a fine job in this garage.

Shipped quickly from Amazon with no damage; instructions easy to follow; installation was simple. Called Mr. Heater's Customer Service line with a simple question, and after punching a few buttons to get to the correct department, I actually spoke to a real person who also spoke English. Thermostat wiring could have been a bit longer.

Two points to consider when installing:

One, although overall very light, the heater is quite a bit heavier on one end due to the control valve, making it necessary to put a slight bend in the hanger to make it hang level. The factory could have positioned the mounting point slightly to the left to counter balance the heater, but this is minor and easily corrected.

And two, be patient about letting air bleed from the gas line and getting gas through the control valve when you first light the pilot. My supply line is less than 40' from the tank to the heater, but it took several minutes of holding the gas valve in at the 'Pilot' position to get gas to flow.

I'd recommend one of these to anyone with similar heating needs.

Great little heater, We have an insultated garage and at 30 F outside this week I was comfortable in just a sweatshirt and jeans.

it does take a bit to warm things up but it just enough for the tinkering I do.

Ok, yes the price is very low, but the description is lacking and wrong. It says "glass paneled door" well it's really thin cheap plastic, and you can tell visually, super bummer. The stove itself is plastic also, it looks nice but it is painted plastic. On the plus side the heater works very well. The flame looks pretty nice also. I think that the biggest problem is the quote "glass front" that is a disappointment.

I have had one of these for about 2 years now. I love the flame effect and it has helped me with my stress to have it's glow. Being a man who was always good at fixing things, when the heater motor started whinning in the 2nd year of operation, I took the back off, greased the bearing, and put it back together. Worked great again! Then just recently, the flame turning motor started acting up and I took the back off again to see if there was an obstruction or something to grease or oil. Evidently the gears inside of the little motor, which I didn't see any way to remove and replace, are just wearing out due to being plastic. So bottom line, it has some flaws. Still, I enjoyed the flame effect and heat so much (with that great remote, that I just bought my 2nd one. I figure $100 a year ins't bad for what you are getting. Yes, it was made in CHINA.
