The flames are extremely realistic and the unit itself is very good quality. I decided against wall mounting it and instead have it on a corner table which is perfect. Some people have complained about how much heat it puts out. To them I would say, if you're trying to heat 1000 s.f. with this little heater, you have other issues. For heating up a single room quickly, it definitely serves the purpose and I like being able to rotate through the Low heat, high heat and flame only options right from the remote. Four stars because you have no thermostatic control, which at this price point seems a little ridiculous. A cheaper model of this (with crappy looking flames to show for it) has a thermostatic control, why wouldn't this expensive one? Generally I'm happy with it and would buy it again.
