Use to heat the 1800 SqFt house all winter. Just set to "2" and it runs perfect. Use 4 ton of pellets each year. Get a good ash vacuum and clean 2x / week (turn off stove, let cool for 2 hours, vacuum for 10 minutes be sure to get the baffles using a fish tank brush). As long as you never turn it off, you can make it all winter (mid October mid April) without cleaning the chimney (FYI they recommend chimney cleaning every ton and I'm not suggesting you do anything different) after 2 months if you turn it off for even a day all the ash will come off the vent pipe (4 inch 20 ft vert.) and clog the chimney. Taking the insert out for annual maintenance is a bit of a pain. Have had this for 5 years and replaced the auger motor once and the convection blower. Even considering this, the stove has easily paid for itself.
I've done firewood my whole life (until now). You don't get as much heat out of the pellets, but feeding and cleaning (no bugs/no bark) is so much easier. Fill every 12 hours.
Spend the extra $ for the fake firebricks in the back, skip the fake logs.

Need zero starts on this one,. Too heavy to pay to return, but if you burn real wood, this might not work for you, It is heavy, so I was very pleased when it arrived, but I heard it crack a couple of times. I am using it a little different than expected. I have the device mounted on the wall offset and lower from center (but still in a stud of course). What this allows me to do is actually have my tv flat against the wall and centered! with the illusion that it is hanging off a standard wall mount. Then I can pull it out, and move it around.. of course i measured and planned this all in advance to make sure it would work like that.
Takes a little adjustment, and you need to give a 2-3 days for the springs to break in so expect to tighten or loosen bolts over the first few days.
One thing that is important to know is that the two bolts that hold this whole thing up are very long.. like 5 inches or so if I remember, so just be careful there is nothing on the other side of your stud.
only dropped one star just because it took a good two hours to carefully install and mount everything. highly recommend having a friend help you do the finally mounting of the tv on the arm as I nearly hurt myself doing that..

Was a good sturdy mount, but the TV stuck out much further than advertised; About 8". some of the part bags did not match the nomenclature in the directions. But it's pretty obvious which part to use. 40 LB is def the limit on the weight. my 55" Samsung LED could only be held up when the max tension was set.I ended up returning it because it stuck out so far.

We are very happy with our new Minuteman International Arts and Crafts Curved Fireplace Screen! It arrived packaged in thick but slightly crumbling cardboard, possibly from being shipped from a humid environment. The cardboard and interior packaging protected the screen well during transit. We were pleased to see it had no scratches or abrasions on it at all. It is fairly heavy and built very solidly. The color is slightly darker than we anticipated, but we think it looks great with our room decor and especially our brick fireplace. I installed the receiver of this device in place of the simple wall switch used on my gas fireplace. It works like a charm. Now I can lay in bed and turn the FP on or off, and set a timer for it to go off automatically. I think I am a little spoiled with this new luxury!
It also has an interesting feature that checks to see if the remote is still nearby while the FP is on. If the remote is no longer nearby after half an hour, the FP shuts down for safety's sake. I believe it does this because, in timer mode, the remote has to send the signal to shut it off, and if it is somehow missing, you want it to shut itself off anyway. It also has a manual override on the wall unit receiver, which is also a nice feature.

This Remote works great for a standard built-in fireplace that is offered in most new builder homes. This is an excellent stove I have used the double barrel type for 3 years but you need to be aware of one thing. The stove door bracket (part number #6 see it on the "replacement parts" downloadable .pdf hyperlink) is made of exceptionally thin steel that will bend when you close and secure the cast iron door. Several days ago in the night the fire alarm went off. I ran downstairs in the smoke filled house to find the door had loosened and opened up was wide open and fire was coming out of the door 2' into the air. Very scary situation. Got the door wedged shut with a cement block. I removed part #6 the next morning and fabricated a new door closure part #6 made of 1/8" thick metal. It works fine now. The manufacturer's customer service did not answer my email about this dangerous situation. Stove is 5 star. Door catch part #6 is dangerous.

All in all it's a very good kit, however, the draft hole is too small. When the door is closed and the draft damper is wide open, the fire goes out due to lack of oxygen. Was looking for a way to heat a small steel building...And here it is! Assembly was easy. Legs were a little short, but I was aware of this. Just used some cinderblocks under the legs to bring it up from the floor. Brought temp of bld{20x30} up to a workable level of comfort. Beats buying a wood stove for hundreds of dollars. This bracket is well made of strong iron, not some flimsy material. The published photo of 2 brackets is deceptive though, as the 6" hanger is the smaller one of the two, but I had no problem with it as I read the description beforehand and knew I was getting the smaller bracket. This kit is basic. Two brackets, one screw, two rods and some directions that were written by a senile uncle. Apparently there are three different kits that these directions can be used for but they make no mention of which one you have so it's a guessing game. The directions also don't mention that one of the brackets and the included screws probably won't be used at all (probably... but it's up to you to determine how and if they will they will be used). could have provided alternative installation options and brackets. We mounted the rod on the overhead interior face of the fireplace requiring spacers for the fasteners. The center bracket would benefit with 2 fasteners to stabilize when adjusting the screen curtain. i rated this a three, not sure what the problem was, but this was difficult. My husband tried and got so frustrated i called a handyman. The directions seem simple enough, but he ended up using his own "devices" and an hour later i just told him to jimmy it because i was "done." This was to finish the opposite side of a through and through fireplace that already had one side done. The rod is a very basic design, but our new curtain slides easily on it, and we are happy with it. When the rod arrived, no instructions were included in the package. But Uniflame responded almost immediately to my email inquiry about installation (and on a weekend, no less), explaining that the instructions are on the company's website.

Buy GHP Group Pleasant Hearth Metro Fireplace Screen with 4pc Fireplace
This Metro Fireplace Screen is really amazing! It is a lovely pewter color instead of black as detailed. The material looks like hammered metal. I particularly like that the fireplace tools hang on the sides of the fireplace screen. As the other reviewer mentioned, the mesh on the screen is a bit thicker than my preference, but not so much that it obstructs the view of a crackling fire.
I especially like the scrollwork on the top of each tool, and the tongs are simply neat. For just under $10 (and less than $6 for shipping), this was a bargain that was practically a steal!
Only negative is the screen could be a little less dense, but the screen hangs on the frame, and can be removed for more "fire".

First, I thought I was getting the "Lock-Top" brand. This "Lock-Tight" is not the same. It arrived, our chimney sweep installed it, and then we all realized it was not useable. The spring was SO TIGHT that I had to use both hands, with leather gloves, to be able to pull the top down to the closed position. Each time I tried to do this I feared breaking the unit or scraping my hands and arms against the fire brick. My wife could not do it at all.We returned the item but never got confirmation or a refund from the company. My fault for losing the post office shipping receipt so I had to eat the cost.

Overall it is a nice trap. The problem I had was the weight of the groundhog caused the metal to bend which caused a gap between door and rest of trap. The ground hog was able to squeeze out and in the process bend the cage more.
