This Metro Fireplace Screen is really amazing! It is a lovely pewter color instead of black as detailed. The material looks like hammered metal. I particularly like that the fireplace tools hang on the sides of the fireplace screen. As the other reviewer mentioned, the mesh on the screen is a bit thicker than my preference, but not so much that it obstructs the view of a crackling fire.

I especially like the scrollwork on the top of each tool, and the tongs are simply neat. For just under $10 (and less than $6 for shipping), this was a bargain that was practically a steal!

Solidly build. Atractive design Nice neutral pewter color.

Only negative is the screen could be a little less dense, but the screen hangs on the frame, and can be removed for more "fire".

the mantal part of it is actaully solid wood, you do have to build it together but once its up its looks great and its very stable. comes up to about your mid waste, not very tall but it looks great for where i put it.

the heater works excellent. it says it heats to 300square feet and i agree with it. it literally will heat the whole house by itself. i live in a townhouse and it keeps the whole thing warm, especially the living room is nice a toasty while we watch TV.

also it is very presentable (the flame). its not over baring fire but its a nice decent little fire.

It makes our house look great and feel great.

Nice looking fireplace and firebox flame was very realistic but didn't throw much heat. Two weeks later the firebox quit working completely. Not sure if the firebox not throwing off much heat was normal or if it was just on its way to quit working all together! Amazon arranged UPS pickup next day and refund was very fast. I ordered the SEI Cartwright Espresso/Slate should be here soon. Hopefully better luck with this brand!

It was pretty much what we expected, except there was a good size dent in the front right side. We did not see this until we put it together and did not want to dismantle it to send back. It would be nice to hear from you to see if we can get some sort of compensation for that.

I was amazed to find this fireplace at this price and ordered it right away. The finished product is beautiful! The color is rich and with the remote that's included it's so easy to operate! I put it together myself with my handy drill in about 2 hours. This is the best addition to my livingroom so far and I'm thinking about getting another one for my basement!

You get what you pay for. I had a difficult time putting this together. I broke a shelf when taking the first step and connecting the shelves to the side boards. The wood chipped off by the dowel holes. I glued it together with Gorilla glue. I like the height for viewing TV in bed. The shelves underneath the TV are not wide enough to hold my Dish receiver. The almostcardboard cover in the back does not cover all of the back as shown in the picture so the wires show. I just stacked books on the shelf to hide the wires.

I am really pleased with this cart. I looks great. It's sturdy. It fits in my space. And it wasn't that hard to put together (for me, a small not very strong woman). The backing was damaged in shipping, but the seller replaced it, and I so far like the product without it. The only drawback is that the CD holders are a little small and look cheap, but I haven't attached them. A fantastic value for the money.

This TV table is average quality but easy to assemble.

Construction is pressed wood fiber with plastic laminate. The two openings for devices are a VERY SMALL.

Before you buy this product, measure your Cable, DVD, Blue Ray or other boxes. The opening is only 15 1/2 inches wide.

Like other reviewers said it is also a bit too tall for large HDTV's.

Almost 3 feet high. Better suited for a digital printer or small HDTV(up to 32").

The set comes with a stand, hooked poker, tongs, shovel, and brush. It required a little bit of assembly, nothing too difficult. Basically it just needed the handles to be screwed into the grips. The one complaint I have is that the tongs should be a little wider to be able to grab pieces of wood or coal better. The ends are barely 3/4" wide, and wood often wobbles a bit when you pick it up, or coals and embers slip out of the grasp of the tongs sometimes. That's why I give this only 4 out of 5 stars. I actually got this more for my barbeque-grill outside, so I can move the charcoal around while it's burning, which it does a great job of too.

Excellent product that replaced our old fireplace set that had only two tools. The set is well made and the tools are of substantial weight and solid quality. Only complaint someone might have was that both the packaging box and the product box inside were damaged. Didn't bother me, as the tools themselves were in perfect condition, but our set might have been difficult to give as a gift packaged as is. Otherwise though good product, highly recommended.

This is a nice set, the tools appear to be sturdy and the assembly was easy. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score was due to poor product packaging. The box was torn up, the tools were loose and out of their plastic sleeves, as if someone had bought it and returned it. Overall though, it is a nice set of tools.

I was a little dissapointed in the looks of the item. I expected more than the plain unfinished edge of a thin pressed wood plaque (and what is chromaluxe, anyway?) and cheap paint job for that price. I ended up buying stickers at Michaels craft store to cover up the flower decorations to dress it up a bit.

The fireplace is almost everything I wanted. The only think missing is the real sound of a fireplace and I have added a Woodwick candle on the mantle to get the desired effect. Do ASK for the assembly instructions. II held me back a week for the enjoyment of my fireplace. My cats LOVE to cuddle in front of it just like the Night Before Christmas!. Ordered this for my wife for Christmas. She always wanted a fireplace in our bedroom and this was the way to go. I was excited...the package arrived before Christmas as promised and voila! No fireplace. The item came with just the mantle. The mantle is well made and fairly easy to assemble. As I unpacked the box I assumed the heater would be in the box. Nope. Nada. Zilch. I called Amazon and they were great in helping me resolve the problem. According to them, the item was under review, so hopefully it is fixed and the heater is included.

What threw me off was the BTU's given in the description...not too many mantles I know of have BTU's unless the heater is included! The item shipped was the mantle only and no electric fireplace. Hopefully Amazon found the heaters!

I too only received the mantle the first time I ordered. I called Amazon and told them that the firebox was missing and that there had to be 2 boxes because all of the order would not fit in one. They sent me another one and it did come with the firebox. I have it in my bedroom and it looks very nice. It has 3 levels of flame and 5 levels of heat on thermostat. They also work independently of each other and that was very important to me. I found this at other stores for much more money plus tax and shipping so it's a really good deal if they can get the order right.

Mantle looks nice and as described with easy assembly.

However, I believe the item description is wrong. Firebox is not included with this item. I ordered 3 different times after not receiving the firebox and each time a new one was sent all you get is the mantle and not the firebox/heater. I even had one shipped from manufacture and no firebox. I believe there should be two boxes as part of this delivery or the item description is wrong and you are only getting a mantle.

I was looking for something to put in my bedroom that could hold some socks, underwear, and some undershirts. I also wanted to be able to put my stereo, blu-ray player and tv on/in it. Finally, I wanted something that looked nice.

This item works PERFECTLY for my needs. It looks good. Making it took me, by myself, about 30 minutes. It's really easy to make. You will need a couple of extra tools like a wrench and a skinny screw driver. The included screwdriver was a bit too stubby for the feet.

All but the feet are made of wood. I would describe the paint as weathered black. There are hints of brown for the weathered look, so if you want jet black, then this isn't for you.

It fit my socks, shirts, underwear perfectly. The drawers could also be used to hold gadgets and doo dads I'm sure. It could also hide quite an array of dvds and blurays if you would like.

The open compartments are divided into 4 slots. I fit a laptop in one slot and a blu-ray player in another. On the other side, I didn't put the divider so that I could fit my rather large Yamaha Receiver.

This things looks great in my bedroom. And it is high enough to watch from my high bed. I have a memory foam topped extra thick queen mattress. And the TV is well above my bed's edge.

This stand is awesome. I love the color, the height, the four openings for components and the large drawers for media, manuals, or whatever. It was a breeze to put together. It really makes my 32" Flat screen TV, audio system, DVR, Cable box and other components look professional. I will give it a high 4 or low five only because the finish was knicked in a couple of minor places, nothing that a little shoe polish couldn't hide. Oh and did I mention it got to me a day earlier than was scheduled.

This is a wonderful tv stand! It goes up so high and it has plenty of space in all of its drawers for our DVDs. None of the drawers stick too, plus there's room for our ps3, gamecube, cable box, and our crappy VCR in the spaces in the top. It's more of an espresso color than a black though. We put it together in no time flat. I'd use a little wood glue on the dowels that come with any/all "build-it-yourself" pieces; It really helps add a little stability. It's not rock solid unfortunately so I dread the thought of moving with it and the feet are plastic (which is pretty unnoticeable). All in all though I'd give it 3.5-4 stars.

Maybe the reviewer who said his stand didn't look like the picture got the wrong model delivered. Mine looks exactly like the one in the picture, and it's really a nice quality product considering it's assemble-it-yourself furniture.

And perhaps the person who complained the stand wasn't stable enough skipped some of the instructions, such as to tighten the "hidden cams" 210 degrees, not 180 degrees. Also, the reason no glue is provided (or needed) for the metal pins is that they're only reinforcements next to some of the cams. My finished stand sure feels sturdy and stable and I never used glue.

That said, I'm in awe of anyone who can assemble this stand in 30 minutes. I'd advise most of us mere mortals to set aside several hours to complete the task. Over the years I've put together quite a few "knock down" shelves, cabinets and other furniture for my family. This stand has some of the better quality materials and one of the best illustrated instruction manuals I've come across. (The plastic foot mentioned by a reviewer is actually a fifth leg used as added support for the middle; that plastic seems easily as strong as the compressed board materials used for the other four legs.)

A potential buyer needs to know this stand is a huge puzzle to put together. Tallying up the pieces listed and meticulously illustrated in the manual, I counted 42 "parts," 159 pieces of hardware and 123 screws and nails. Unboxing and laying out all that stuff alone can take half an hour for many of us. Bear in mind this isn't just some bookshelf. It has four drawers, with all the glides, rails, grooved sides and pulls that they entail.

My advice: Set aside pretty much a whole afternoon to assemble this thing. Handle the parts carefully. (A black magic marker, though, can cover up nicks and dents if you make a mistake.) Read the instructions and, most importantly, look at the illustrations most carefully. Follow the sequence outlined in the manual. You'll have a nice, useful furniture assembled in 30 minutes and a few hours added in.

This piece isn't as sturdy as it looks. But then again I wasn't buying anything solid wood and for the money I spent it'll do. You can tell it's not anything sturdy by the amount of chipped pieces that come with it. One of the drawers flat out broke when we tried to insert it into it's case. We will have to go out and buy some wood glue and get that sucker back on there. Another downside to this is it comes in like 200 pieces, you have to build every single part including the drawers, nobs etc. Would I buy it again? nope. Hubs and I decided that we'd rather spend more for something sturdier and already built.
