After having two cheaper vinyl log rack covers rip and tear after the first freeze I decided it was time to invest in a good, high quality cover or just give up all together. I purchased this Veranda 8 Foot cover and it is performing superbly in it's first Wisconsin winter.The materials really are top notch and very durable yet easy to use and not at all cumbersome to get to the wood. The fact that you can use two different flaps is very nice to get at both sides of the log rack. It was easy to install and it fit like a glove over my 8 Foot Landmann rack.
On a side note, this is a very attractive log rack cover, I have actually received unsolicited comments on how nice it is and it isn't even in plain view. While appearance isn't necessairly a prime consideration for an item like this...it definately doesn't hurt.
I recommend this Veranda Log Rack Cover for anyone needing a durable, easy to use cover that looks good too.

I bought a rack and cover at Lowes, and the cover fell apart (very cheaply made). I bought this one, and am very happy with the result. This cover fit the stack perfectly and I can access the wood easily.

Dimplex CFP3652C 20"Cherry Electric Fireplace looks awesome. The flame is way to dark and there is no controls to make it brighter. The heat it puts out is ok for a small space. Thats all it really is, is a space heater in a fireplace cabinet. The other problem with the Fireplace is it is noisy and can get on ones nerves. The motor in the back makes all kinds of noise after about the 2nd week of use. For the price i paid for this i could have gotten a pellet stove and been much happier. It cost about $40 a mouth to run and that is not savings when you can get a pellet stove for around the same price and save a ton of money and have a real fire place at the same time. Again its nice just priced way to high.

Ordered the unique coastal design from Pantina Products which has received many compliments as one of the focal points of our patio. Fits perfect on my Hearthstone Clydesdale insert. Blends in well also. My shelf dimension is five & a quarter inches & it fits perfectly, no overhang. I love the look of this billow. The dark stain and nail heads are exactly what I needed to compliment the room decor but the billow leaks...It is very poorly made so it ends up just being "for show" and I bought a $10.00 one at Home Depot that is really "cheap" looking but works like a charm...Buyer beware!

Review of Rome Adjustable Cooking Grate

I did use this once to grill steaks in my fireplace. Fitting it inside the fireplace wasn't that difficult, although I did have to remove parts of the andirons to accomodate the cooking grate frame. Two problems I did have, though, were the handles on the cooking grate, and the steel pegs that hdld the grate in place. With the wooden cooking grate handles, they stuck out too far and I couldn't close my fireplace doors (which I wanted to do while the meat was cooking so smoke wasn't going inside my house). So I unbolted them for a quick fix. However, in trying to use the adjustable levels to place the cooking grate, some of the two inch steel pegs fell off, yes, I said fell off! Upon closer inspection it appears to have been very shoddy weld points. I had three of the steel pegs fall off, and this wasn't due to severe stress, just the normal placement of the cooking grate at the different height levels. On a positive note, Amazon had a no questions asked return policy, and I was able to return the item at no cost to me, and received a full refund.

The product itself is a great design and I was hoping it would be exactly as advertised. However, upon close inspection (after I received the shipment), the quality is poor. One of the handles attached perfect....the other one, not so good. The result was two uneven handles that I'm sure wouldn't have remained intact after a few uses. Also, the "sturdy steel cooking grate" was simply a high gloss paint over the metal surface. In fact, it started to chip off around the area where the handles bolt to the side of the grate and clearly this surface was made for show and not for go.It's a shame and with a little more focus on quality workmanship, this could be a great product. I am returning it back to Amazon and getting a refund. Don't waste your money here.

Poorly made. The assembly was impossible. The drill holes did not line up so that the screws could be inserted. It could never be assembled so that the grate would be in proper position.. Emailed the company about the problem and never received any response.(It has been over a month).

We have a wood-buring fireplace and always keep a fire-resistant rug in front. Even though we have a screen in place, sometimes a spark gets out when placing new firewood. The rug we had used for several years needed to be replaced. I could not find anything locally, so of course I find exactly what I was looking for at Amazon! The rug is a little larger than the one being replaced, but that is not a problem. It is thickly woven 100% wool and claims fireresistance. Took away a star because I have not used it yet.

low output blower for the $165 you would think it would at least give off an amount of airflow that was noticeable at 5 foot, especially since it was the one that the fireplace would have come with (got the part # from the fireplace operation manual) Its kinda noisy too. with as loud as it is you would think it would have a decent amount of output. But it was an easy install and the seller and shipping were good.

This heater works pretty good, could move a little bit more air and be a little less noisy at high speed. Was a little difficult to put in but did fit and works.

I bought this fireplace back in April and had it installed. This thing puts out some serious heat! It will really warm up any room you put it in fast. The quality is top notch. There's a panel on the back that contains the valve for propane or natural gas. It seems to be set up for propane because mine was hooked up to natural gas and it wouldn't work until I found that valve under the panel on the back of the fireplace and set it to natural gas. You have to take the front cover off and install the logs but that's easy. I went ahead and bought the optional blower and installed it in the fireplace and that may be overkill because it puts out so much heat. I always wanted a fireplace in my front room and now I have one!

Cons:
~We have about a 15' x 15' living area. It is fairly open (no walls between the kitchen & dining room, so adding approximately another 25' x 15' with those two areas), and so the heater doesn't really "warm up" the room. Which is understandable since the space is as open as it is. It does, however, take that little chill out of the air. The furnace kicks on about half as often as before.
~The cord is pretty short I'd estimate probably about 3 feet so you have to either keep it close to the plug in or get an extension cord.
~Remote doesn't work from too far away, and must be basically right in front of the unit to make it work
~If you're really cold (as I am when I come in from being out in the -4 degree air)you have to stand / sit within 3 feet of it or it won't get you warmed up.
Even with the "cons", I LOVE this little heater. It's been really nice to have to take that chill out of the house and to stand next to when coming in out of the cold!

I got this to heat the end of my hallway and the rooms adjacent to it. Instead of plopping down an ugly old space heater I decided to get this. It's a beautiful decoration and it heats very well the hallway and the rooms near it stay nice and warm, just what I needed! The flame isn't THAT realistic but it's probably the best looking flame in an electric stove. I got my stove just as the wether started changing. I took it out of the box and it was pumping heat right away, I had many compliments on it and it added the perfect mood to my living room. Until about two weeks after it came, that is when it started making this loud whining noise. I thought it was the heater part but after removing the back I found it was the motor that rotated the flame effect. I just disconnected the motor. I am going to contact Duraflame and see what they are going to do. It worked great for about 3 weeks. Of course right after I threw out the box the blower wouldn't do anything anymore. Now I have to find a box big enough to send it back in. If you buy one of these either save the box or send it to me, I could use one right now.
