I purchased this to replace basically the same item, which I accidentally threw away while we were moving.

As far as fireplace shovels go, this gets an A+ in my book. It has a long enough handle to reach the back of the fireplace box, but is still short enough to get good leverage and remain steady in your hand, both of which are important if you are moving around hot coals, or trying not to spill messy ashes everywhere. It also has a higher lip than many of the more decorative fireplace shovels, which means you can scoop up a lot of ashes at once, and again, avoid making a big mess when you clean your fireplace.

The box is small, the colors not as bright as in picture and I received the box with old tape on it with damaged the box when I opened the matchbox to use it. Not worth the money.

I like to leave matches handy, which means leaving them out and visible. Unlike the other reviewer, i actually found them bigger than expected. However, the art work is what really drew me to them since I leave them out. Mine arrived in mint condition, the tape came off easily from the cardboard with no damage. I have bought several other designs, all beautiful. I have refilled them with cheaper matches twice so far and the side friction panel still has enough life left in it. But I think that will be it for this box.

The stand is very sturdy, fits nicely in a small corner, with plenty of room for CDs on the side shelves and your electronic media inside the glass front doors/shelves. I really like this!!

The oak leaf design sticks out maybe as much as a half-inch from the body of the screen and are somewhat sharp (they are on the outside of the screen away from the fire). I could imagine my 1.5 yr old running into it and blinding herself, so I returned it and bought the plain one with no leaf pattern.

I am very pleased with the screen. I wasn't sure if it would be sturdy because of the very reasonable price that I paid, but to my surprise, it's just as durable and it is beautiful.

Love this fireplace screen. Perfect size for my ventless gas fireplace. I wondered if the color would be a problem (most firescreens are black or bronze), but it just blends right in. Very tasteful decorative element...subtle without competing for attention. Arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Great price too. This screen is well made, and does NOT have those separate edge pieces held on with little nuts that will fall off and look crappy later! This is a large screen, not good for small areas. Everything is very nice looking and a great value for the money. It would be nice if the mesh was a little smaller so that absolutely no sparks could pop through. We are very pleased with the look and quality

I am using this for a refrigerator based smoker out of an old 1940's GE fridge.

I attached it to the door and front frame by using RTV high temp silicone and it seems to be working.

it looks thick in the picture but is only about 1/8" thick and not hollow or a tube type seal. it bends in the corners while laying flat to install.

good value for the money.

We have only used our kettle for 3 days now, and although it really works in terms of letting off steam, it has a funny cast iron smell that goes along with it. Still a fun novelty piece, but certainly not the thing to do if you want a serious humidifier.

I guess my wood stove top doesn't get hot enough to boil the water. I have a pretty big wood stove. I am sure that if used on the smaller stoves it would get hot enough to steam, especially if it is only filled about half full.
