No complaints with this shovel. The price was good when I bought it, free shipping and all, and none to be found around town. Now that the season is changing and autumn inventory is hitting the shelves, the same shovel can be had for about half this price at Freddy's. C'est la vie.

I purchased this to replace basically the same item, which I accidentally threw away while we were moving.

As far as fireplace shovels go, this gets an A+ in my book. It has a long enough handle to reach the back of the fireplace box, but is still short enough to get good leverage and remain steady in your hand, both of which are important if you are moving around hot coals, or trying not to spill messy ashes everywhere. It also has a higher lip than many of the more decorative fireplace shovels, which means you can scoop up a lot of ashes at once, and again, avoid making a big mess when you clean your fireplace.
