Purchased this after our old welded grate burned through. Had to find something to fit our 270 year old fireplace and price was a concern. I did not feel like paying hundreds for an item that was just a hunk of steel and no one would ever see; just wanted something functional. I like that it is heavy weight, looks ok, holds logs as it should, low price. So far it seems to be holding up as well. If you are looking for beauty, this is not very attractive, at least in an old-style fireplace. Finally, at least in my application, the very short legs require me to start a fire by stacking paper, kindling, etc., all on top of the grate, which does not seem to work as well as my old technique of using the paper UNDER the grate.

I did not realize before ordering that this grate is 18" at its *longest* point. Much smaller than I had envisioned. It does the job I wanted it for, however.Best Deals for 18" Stacking Fireplace Iron Grate
and it works great. Received before I was expecting it. I would not hesitate to buy this product again or shop from this vendor again. Both are excellent.
