This rug is very thick & plush! I also love how heavy it is because it keeps it from moving around as much as my other one did & the edges do not curl up either. The colors are vibrant too. Fit perfectly in front of the fireplace and looks great. The color fit right in with our room decor. The fireplace rug is thick and will stop the burning of our original living room carpet if any ashes come flying out of fire place.
