My wife and I absolutely love the fireplace door and screen we purchased for the home we just moved in to. It is sturdy, doors open easily and shut completely, and everyone who comes to our home notices and compliments it. The only small hang up is that neither of the two mounting options quite fit our fireplace so I had to slightly modify the two brackets by drilling an additional hole in each. Then it fit perfectly and we couldn't be happier with it!

After reading several reviews stating the box labeled nickel in fact contained black doors, I ordered this product with some trepidation. Luckily, the doors ARE indeed nickel colored (although not a silvery brushed nickel as I had hoped).

I am very satisfied with these fireplace doors:

* Amazon PRIME shipping had the doors arriving at our home in three days.

* The packaging was excellent & protected the doors from transit damage.

* The doors were easy to install (without any help) because the instructions were clear & easy to follow.

* The holes IN the door handles were drilled slightly mis-aligned, but it was no big deal.

* I am VERY satisfied with the overall quality of these fireplace doors & can't wait to build our first fire.

Side note: I wish this company also offered fireplace tools as an accessory (in the same powder-coated nickel finish). I decided to have my brass tools and log-rack blasted & powder coated in a matching nickel color to make our fireplace really POP!

This fireplace cover is as good as promised. Very heavy, nice, durable, & the packaging was super good. We would buy this again if we moved from our house now. You will have no regrets on this & we bought it at a price, i think $225 or so, which was better than any local big box stores. They just had the crummy ones that sit on the mantle & are not bottled down on it.

The fit and installation is all fine, but as other reviewers have said the picture is much lighter than the actual product. It you want to match the decor in your submarine, this would do well.

These are merely OK, probably worth about half what they cost. The broom that came with my set was shedding bristles pretty bad. So much so that I threw it out immediately. The stand is cheaply constructed and the metal parts to all of these pieces seems to be powder coated (painted) iron or steel. Not bad, but way overpriced for the cheap Chinese construction you get.

I bought this screen about a year ago and it has held up really well. There are some spots that the color has rubbed of and the rubber pieces on the bottom keep falling off but nothing major.

This screen is very nice as far as the construction and sturdiness of it. Its a good deal for a good price. However I was a little taken back by the color when I pulled it out of the box. The picture on here shows the screen as being brown. The actual screen is more copper/red than brown and the leaves are painted green on parts. It may work with what I have since Im waiting to put it up until Ive moved, or I may just spray paint it. Brown with gold flecks would be nice. Either way good deal for the quality, as painting would only take ten minutes.

I rated this product 5 stars because it is well made and fits perfectly in my living room! I have earthy colors in my living room and the fireplace is red and brown brick. Even though the screen has some rust colored red and a little bit of faint green on it it blends in so well with the colors already in my room! One of the best parts was quick delivery and I didn't even have to put anything together! Just slide it out of the box, place it on the mantle, and it looks great!! Such a simple way to make your room look beautiful!

Great little design, simple! It's important to know whether or not your fireplace damper is open or closed. Obviously you'd know it was closed if the room filled up with smoke after lighting a fire! But it is also helpful to make sure it's closed when not in use to keep critters from climbing down your chimney! :)
