This is a very sturdy and attractive fireplace screen. I purchased it to protect my 15 month old granddaughter from touching my wood burning stove and it works great. It is heavy enough so that it stays in place but light enough to move easily to load the stove. It was delivered ahead of schedule and I am very happy with this purchase.

I was uncertain if this would be a good buy considering there were no prior reviews and I could not see the item in person. Well, it arrived yesterday and we put it together this morning. It is a beautiful addition to our living room, well built, sturdy, and very simple to assemble. My partner calls it "ingenious." The weak link is the top. Do not assemble and try to lift it by the top as the top will loosen. Very attractive stand that looks like quality furniture. The assembly instructions should be specific about the direction to install the center divider. Be sure the door magnet holes on the center divider are positioned to the front of the stand.

Use Kwik Shot every winter. Tried others but nothing found to be better or easier.We heat only by seasoned hardwood with inside wood stove. Makes chimney cleaning easy and keeps chimney dry which means SAFE. No wet kreosote to burn or try to brush thru. No chimney FIRES! Really works. We clean chimney maybe twice a winter and get a five gallon bucket full at most and it's all dry. Use two sticks the first week then one a week. Sometimes when it's not so cold spring and fall and I burn slow I use two a week or ten days.Normal burning only one a week. I buy a box for about forty bucks and it lasts a winter and then some. Keeps well and just throw in hot burning fire for ten minutes and your done. Would not burn without them. Be SAFE and use these or something.

I would highly recommend this item to everyone who has a wood burning fireplace or stove.

We use our fireplace a lot during the winter months, not so much for heating but for ambiance, and we have it cleaned annually by a certified chimney sweep. But during the burning season, we use a chimney cleaning log about mid-January or so and one at the end of the season. In between, a Kwik-Shot on a weekly basis, and we always get an A-plus from the chimney sweep and a "keep doing what you're doing."

This definitely is a product that works!!! And buying in bulk is a money saver.

My 27" CRT finally went out and I needed a place to put my new 51" plasma. My old Oak Entertainment center was definitely not going to accommodate the TV. None of the TV consoles in the store were appealing. I finally looked on Amazon. I checked the reviews on the smaller Westlake version before I finally decide on this. Mine has shelving rather than the fireplace in the center. It arrived in a kit. The hardware supplied is just enough to put together. Unfortunately for me, they had two screws that were not threaded. The hardware is specific to this furniture and I could not find a comparable item at the local hardware store. This item is not perfect and either needs better quality control on the hardware, or provide at least one more piece of each type of screw or connector than is required. I managed to work around by putting the pieces in places they would not be detected or load bearing. I am in talks w/ the manufacturer for replacements. The kit is heavy (shipping weight 129 lbs), so be prepared to assemble it near where you intend to put it. It took approximately 2.5 hours to assemble. The color is beautiful and it looks very solid. Not at all cheap construction. The picture in this case really is a fair representation of the furniture. I am really pleased with my choice. This model has more storage than I expected. This is a beautiful piece of furniture. Classic, upscale, modern looks; this item is definitely a keeper.

The TV stand looks great, a nice quality heavy piece of furniture at a great Price. Unfortunately the top piece came in damaged. I contact Wishack, the company I purchased this from, and they quickly shipped out a replacement no questions asked. Best experance working with them. Will definitley purchase from Wishack again!

I would definitely recommend this product if you are adept at assembly. Pack your patience and inspect each piece BEFORE beginning assembly because if you have a defected piece as I did, it will take a couple weeks to get the replacement. So, inspite of the inconvenience of having to wait on the parts, the final product looks nice and has gotten a lot of "I really like that..."

The product was delivered on time and within a reasonable amount of time. It was just as it was described and of good quality. The box it was shipped in was sturdy; however, there was nothing wrapped around the bucket or placed inside the box (such as bubble wrap, newspaper, peanuts) to protect it. The bucket did have a small dent in one side of it (about he size of a half dollar). I believe wrapping the product would have prevented this.

Purchased one of these recently, but not from Amazon. While searching for a more complete fireplace tool set online, I recognized this poker as the one I own and was surprised by the review. It's a big, solidly crafted, hefty tool (did I mention big?) Nice hammered detail on the handle. Haven't owned it long enough to speak to the durability but based on the feel and the construction, I'm not the least bit worried. I often rely on the customer reviews on Amazon when deciding to purchase a particular item and I appreciate it when people review the item itself, not their customer service issues. This is a good item and it deserves better than a one-star review.

I purchased this poker as a Christmas gift for my son. He has a fire pit in his yard and I noticed tree limbs sticking out of the pit that he was using for a poker. It was one of the largest gifts under the tree so it sparked some attention. He laughed when he opened it and loves it. I'm sure it will get lots of use. Good quality poker!

WoW, better then expected. At first reading some of the other reviews, I was a little skeptical, but I figured if there was a problem, I have never had any issues with returning an item, so I bought it.

It arrived very quickly and to my surprise, it is heavy and a perfect length for camp fires and fireplaces!

No parts were broken off and all was intact. To me it looks like a one piece construction. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and then surrounded by three layers of cardboard.

My only issue is that I wonder if the handle will get hot especially when moving big logs for a camp fire. I personally don't think it will get that hot because it is not like I am leaving it in the flames.

I would highly recommend this item.

UPDATE: Used this on a camping trip, and this worked FABULOUS!! No issues, and no heat was generated to the handle. I HIGHLY Recommend this!!

This is offically "The Worst Piece of Junk (or #$#%$) Ever" and a rip-off.

DO NOT BUY IT IF YOU INTEND ON PUTTING IT IN A ACTUAL, REAL FIRE.

I heat the house by woodburning stove and as soon as I heated it up a little, AND I MEAN A LITTLE, it bent horribly and is rendered useless.

Made in ChinaI should have known better, but was being cheap.

I'd send it back to the people I bought it from, but it's not worth the postage or aggrivation.

Please don't make the same mistake I did!

I received the rod. The handle was falling off when received. Threads on both rod and in handle were completely gone that it screws on. I elected to try are repair it wrather than return it. Handle hole had to be drilled to a larger size Handle was cheap pot metel and barely took threads, then had to re-thread rod to match it. I wish I had spent more and got a good one.

Real Flame 2950-BK is made solid and flame appearance is the best I have seen for a device that is not a real fire pit. The actual fire looks so much better than the picture represented which made my wife and I very happy. We have received complements from our friends on both the appearance of the unit and on the realistic flames. I started using the Real Flame Gel but found them to be expensive. I tried 91% isopropyl alcohol to work as well but it is a liquid and must be handled carefully when filling the two trays. We have this unit in the center of our three season room and seem to enjoy this room even more now.

We use in our central Florida enclosed lanai area to take chill off a winter morning. Looks like a more expensive unit except for one small log. A challenge to assemble. A couple pieces required drilling and instructions on which screws to use were not real clear. Tough to line up last few screws. Best buy amongst all reviewed though.

I guess my wood stove top doesn't get hot enough to boil the water. I have a pretty big wood stove. I am sure that if used on the smaller stoves it would get hot enough to steam, especially if it is only filled about half full.
