Rocks are lovely but not even half are over 1.5 inches. Between the actual product amount plus shipping, I could have purchased four times as many rocks at the local pet store. The only reason why I didn't is that I expected these rocks to be larger. I'm incredibly disappointed with this product. I ended up paying about $1 per rock. That's a pretty poor value, considering what I received.

I ordered these to put on a stainless steel fire box to make it look a little less harsh. I wish that you got more for your 2.2 lbs but rocks are heavy so it's only a small bag. But, they're nice and smooth and classy looking and they look good in my fireplace. I would have liked to buy these more in bulk someplace local since they're heavy to ship, but I couldn't find them anywhere, and as usual, I was able to find them at Amazon. If you don't need too many rocks for your project, I'd recommend these.

This product actually deserves 5 stars but the customer service (with Transdesco main office) is lacking so I'm giving it 3 stars. This stand looks great, is very sturdy and a great corner stand. You think it looks nice in the picture, it looks even better in person. My product came with 3 rubber pieces to house wiring at the back of the stand that were either defective or poorly made. 2 cracked and one looked re-glued togeter. I install them anyways and placed my 52 incher on it and set it up at the corner my living room. Later on I called Transdesco and asked if they can do anything to rectify the situation of the defective pieces and the customer service supervisor ("Dave") said that he would only send the replacements if I would take a picture and send him proof for quality control purposes. I told him that the pieces were already installed at the rear of the stand and that I couldn't remove them unless I get help to move the TV and the stand. I told him that I was new to the town and wasn't expecting company in weeks or a month. He then told me that he could wait a month for the pictures and then would send me the replacements. I asked him again if he could send the replacements and that I would personally mail him the defective pieces if he would send me a return envelope so that he could have the pieces on hand for his "quality control". He still refused. After spending over half an hour pleading my case with him, he finally decided to mail me the replacements when I told that dealing was getting nowhere and that I would file a complaint with Amazon and the Better Business Bureau.

I guess when it comes down to it, this product is alright. If a hot coal falls on it the rug does sizzle away, but it doesn't go up in flames. With the chickadee pattern on it it makes it difficult to see where the first few coals have fallen, but after that it just turns into a seared hodge podge.

Even though the rug was not the one we thought we were ordering it's a great rug ... The company acknowledged the mistake right away and credited the cost of the rug to us and told us we could keep the rug since it had been an error. The rug is a good one and we're happy with it--the one in the picture on amazon that we thought we were ordering was not the one we received but it was a "happy mistake" because the little birds do fit in with our rustic decor. The rug is protecting our wood floors which is what it's supposed to do.

This looks really nice in front of my wood stove. And it has been just the thing to protect the floor from all the wood debris and occasional ash when the stove is being cleaned. I have a ceramic floor with light colored grout near the stove and this rug has done a fine job of protecting the grout from any dark smudges.

This screen fits our old Rumsford Fireplace opening perfectly, and the spark guard at the top makes us all feel more secure by blocking shooting sparks. The screen is well made, it feels substantial, but not too heavy to move or tilt to add logs. One thing we really like is the unobscured view of the firethe screen is not divided in the middle and so we can really view the fire almost like there is no screen there! Much nicer than our three section screen with heavy wrought iron welds in the middle that this replaced!

The screen itself is nice and fits well but the handle didn't fit. The holes on one of the sides were too close together and the hardware wouldn't fit. That makes it go from a 4 to a 2.

I bought these to have around an outdoor fireplace. Though a little on the light weight side they adequately moved small pieces of wood that i chopped and burn. After 7 times using them, i picked up a log that was a bit too big and the tongs twisted. when they twisted, that put pressure on the wood handles and one cracked. Instead of throwing them out i will replace the handles with good hardwood; just have to find the right piece, drill the handles out, and attach with epoxy. Still, after doing that these are for small campfires and not big logs.

I have a fire pit on my deck. Have always adjusted logs with a flimsy wire apparatus which was very frustrating when repositioning logs. This product is perfect. It is durable and capable of picking up and placing large logs. I would recommend this for anyone not only with a fireplace but a fire pit. You can never be too safe with fires.

We use a fire bowl for bon fires and all too often I'd burn my hands from the heat of the fire. The tongs we use are just too short, causing me to burn the hair off my fingers too many times. I have had a ventless fireplace for 10 years and have been using this product for the same amount of time. I usually place 2 cans behind the ceramic log. It really puts out heat (sufficient for an Arizona winter anyway) and crackles and pops. It is a great alternative to a woodburning fireplace. Don't get me wrong, they are in no way the same, but if you are looking for a beautiful fire for ambiance and a little warmth, this will do the trick.

Having owned a gel fuel fireplace since 1995, I have tried just about every brand of gel fuel there is available. The Real Flame Gel Fuel is the best. They seem to burn a good 15 minutes longer than the others (around 3-1/2 hours for me), as there is barely any burnt residue left inside the can after it cools down so I can check it.

One thing I learned not to do is buy too many cans ahead of time. I tend to use these only for special occasions other than the one time my electricity went out due to high winds (and I'm total electric so my furnace was out too). In this case, this gel fuel was a life-saver for me....but if you buy too many cases at once and don't use them up over the course of 1 or 2 winters, the burning time will be less the older they get.

I was worried these might put off carbon monoxide fumes, but they don't I borrowed a carbon monoxide detector and the entire time the 3 cans were burning, the detector never moved off zero.

My only complaint about any of these gel fuels is the slight alcohol scent they give off. This isn't as noticeable if you stay inside the entire time it's burning, but if you go outside and then come back in, you can smell it ever so slightly.

The Real Flame brand had less alcohol odor than the others I tried. I wish they could put a vanilla scent into the alcohol that would overpower the alcohol scent. Then they would be perfect.

This is a great product. I've used it now for almost two years. It gives off a nice amount of heat, even though it states it's not meant to be used as a heat source. It also crackles like a real fire in a real fireplace. Very pleased with this product and do recommend purchasing it.

I have used this gel fuel and it is really a great alternative to a real fire place fire. It burns for 2-3 hours and makes no smoke at all. There is a little bit of an odor, (not bad) but your nose adjusts to it quickly and you don't smell it after a little while.

It can warm a room 6 degrees in an hour, so it does help keep you warm. The crackling sound the gel emits makes it seem more realistic and it is a nice soothing sound. The only drawback is the fact that you have to use two to three cans at a time and that can be very expensive. I use two and it does a good job, but, three would be great.

I purchased my gel fuel fireplace two years ago. Last year, I bought a case of Sunjel (red label). This time, I bought Real Flame. Both are great. I love the crackle sounds and the ease of use. Just rip off the label, pop the top off and light. No mess, no cleanup, no gas smell. The Real Flame smells a little more alcohol-ish before you light it, but once it's lit, there's no smell at all. Great stuff.

This Fireplace has it all. My wife and I had been shopping for some time, and even bought a different model fireplace but ended it returning it because it looked cheesy. We were very excited to find this one on Amazon. The installation was pretty simple. It heats up our large bedroom nicely, has a beautiful curved front glass face, and a variety of colored background LED lights to choose from, plus a remote!!! This is a very nice and modern compliment to our bedroom, we couldn't be happier. As a side note, this seller is easy to work with, was very prompt in his email replies to us, and it was shipped very fast to Wa State. I really like this fireplace the side color is a very cool feature. The only thing I don't like is that the heat blows out the top, was hoping it came from the bottom or front, but looks great and love the look of the flames with the stones.

This fireplace is very nice looking and provides extra heat in our living room. It was relatively easy to assemble, and took about half hour. The "blackwash" is not very noticeable, and it looks just flat black. I wish the fireplace had a compartment for the satellite and DVD player, as there would be plenty of room for it above the heater.
