Use to heat the 1800 SqFt house all winter. Just set to "2" and it runs perfect. Use 4 ton of pellets each year. Get a good ash vacuum and clean 2x / week (turn off stove, let cool for 2 hours, vacuum for 10 minutes be sure to get the baffles using a fish tank brush). As long as you never turn it off, you can make it all winter (mid October mid April) without cleaning the chimney (FYI they recommend chimney cleaning every ton and I'm not suggesting you do anything different) after 2 months if you turn it off for even a day all the ash will come off the vent pipe (4 inch 20 ft vert.) and clog the chimney. Taking the insert out for annual maintenance is a bit of a pain. Have had this for 5 years and replaced the auger motor once and the convection blower. Even considering this, the stove has easily paid for itself.
I've done firewood my whole life (until now). You don't get as much heat out of the pellets, but feeding and cleaning (no bugs/no bark) is so much easier. Fill every 12 hours.
Spend the extra $ for the fake firebricks in the back, skip the fake logs.

Our fireplace is wood-burning/propane. We can't use wood due to allergies and found out that the propane was not properly run so that left us with an unusable fireplace due to its small and odd shape. We found this insert and purchased it hoping that our measurement were correct. It fits well, is lovely to look at, and does a very good heating the room. Very happy with our purchase.

After going through the specs, I felt that this insert would work with my new Equinox 18MM3207-M250 stand that I got at a great price. I received it quickly and it went right in with no problems at all and works like a champ. I can hear a slight buzz without the heat being on and it gets a bit louder with the heat. But overall I am very happy with this choice and glad that I got it. I hope it will give us many years of service. It certainly makes an already great piece of furniture even better.Best Deals for Classic Flame 18EF023GRA INSERT ONLY. Fixed Front 18" Insert

Perfect fit in our small front room. Puts out enough heat to avoid using the furnace on cold mornings and evenings. The flame simulation is well done and makes you think warm too.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Classic Flame 18EF023GRA INSERT ONLY. Fixed Front 18" Insert
I bought this fireplace insert for a remodel job in our basement. After reading the reviews we decided to go with this model, and so far I'm really impressed with it. I still need to build the fireplace/mantel, and after that's done this unit should just slide right it. I took it out of the box, sat it on the counter, plugged it in, and in about 5 seconds we had instant flame and heat. The flames/embers look realistic for an electric fireplace, and this unit appears to be as realistic as another unit we bought a few years ago for about 6 times the price. For the money, this appears to be an excellent unit.Thursday, December 11, 2014

came just as described, though I do not really detect much cranberry/orange scent. probably because I am not using it exactly as directed. The smell does not come out in a simmer pot or anything. very strong alcohol content. don't leave it out on the street, or else a bum might drink it.

I found it odd that the nature of this product and how carefully it needs to be shipped didn't have a seal under the cap when opening it. Makes me wonder if it was diluted? The smell was complete alcohol, no fragrance what so ever, unlike other brands I've bought before. Really disappointed.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for New Leaf Fragrance or Effusion Lamp Oil Refills
Everything arrived in time. I was disappointed by the scent of the oil, it does not smell as much as I thought it would: too bad ! But it does the trick of taking the bad odors out (cooking, kitty litter etc). So I guess I cannot complain too much.Wednesday, October 1, 2014

We only hear our furnace kick on once per day which will reflect a great savings on our power bill.
I looked up the cost of using infrared heat and WOW it is very easy to estimate using my current kilowatt hour charge
to only cost us $42 if we were to use this 8 hours per day for a full month!

This is my first fire pit. I bought this particular model after reviewing more than 100 others for a handful of reasons listed under PRO below, and the product delivered well on every expectation.
PRO:
====
1. It's a large diameter model. I need it big enough to hold whatever firewood I can buy locally, and this model handles it all well. I don't have to chop normal firewood into littler pieces.
2. It's a deep model. Those little pan models are out of the question. This model holds several pieces of wood and all the newspaper I care to ball up underneath. When I'm ready to light it, a single match takes care of everything for the first couple hours. Instead of giving the fire my constant attention, I can enjoy my family and guests.
3. There's a wonderful flat surface ringing the pit, and it's tall enough to be useful. The ring stays cool, perfect for plates and drinks. We particularly like keeping mugs of hot chocolate on the ring as we settle around the fire after dark, having eaten dinner there when it was light out. We also bought marshmallow roasting sticks that work beautifully with this fire pit.
4. The diamond mesh allows superior air flow. A fire cannot thrive without air, and this pit provides far more than other models. I could wish that the pan's bottom allowed air also, but that would allow debris (and hot coals) to fall through.
5. The mesh lid is solid and effective. I have no worries about safety when the lid is in place.
6. The entire unit is solid. Some friends have a more rickety model. This fire pit's legs are sturdily attached, but their real stability comes from their wide base.
7. Absolutely zero maintenance is required after initial assumbly. Just park this fire pit in your back yard and pull up a few of those soccer-mom sideline chairs. The firewood itself requires a bit of attention of course, but there's nothing to turn or tighten on the fire pit itself.
8. It comes with a cover! That's something you definitely want, and this model saves you that expense. My cover lasted until the lawnmowing service started a few months later, but I expect that any cover of any quality would not have survived that weed-eater treatment. Shame on me for leaving the fire pit in my suburban backyard grass instead of building a patio or laying out some bricks.
CON:
====
1. Assembly was a bit more difficult than I expected, but not bad really. All the parts are black, so it's hard even to see the holes and alignments. The metal edges aren't sharp exactly, but neither are they smooth and comfortable like rolled edges. The instructinos are clearly written in real English. But legs were attachable curving inward instead of outward, and the big ring was attachable upside-down. I could imagine v2.0 of this model ensuring that parts can only be assembled correctly. This one minor point almost gave this product less than a perfect score, but ultimately the finished product is what I rated not the assembly.
2. After six months of occasional use, the wire mesh lid looks a little burned in one place. I expect that the fire got too hot once, and that a steel wire brush would make it look new again. But I'm still in zero-maintenance mode, and I care far more about the function than continuing the like-new look.
Overall Summary: It's bigger than it looks, and quite solid. The size allows pre-building a long-lasting fire, and the mesh allows air to feed that fire so you don't need to tend it constantly. The wide, flat ring surface makes the whole unit more functional.
The problem I had with the product was that one of the legs was broken out of the box and the mesh cover was dented. I guess thankfully I have a lot of patients and am in no hurry; I called the company to request replacement for these parts under warranty. Now some may go crazy considering how long it's taking for these parts to arrive. (Around a month) but that's because they need to ship the part from China to their HQ in the US and then ship it to you. Best part is the request stays in the their records, I've dealt with so many other companies and half the time the ticket number would just magically disappear *cough HTC cough*. They even personally called me up to give me the status of the part and to give me the situation of the part.
In my opinion this is pretty poor customer service for a minor part. There are a lot of other choices, I plan to avoid this company in the future.

The product itself is actually really nice. Pretty much it's the main bowl that sits in the frame with the legs so that when you have the firepit going the main bowl is hot but the outer metal stay cool. The problem I had with the product was that one of the legs was broken out of the box and the mesh cover was dented. Be aware that if any parts are missing you will be asked to ship the whole fire pit to Woodstream for replacement. Honest reviews on CobraCo FB8008 Diamond Mesh Fire Pit with Screen and Cover
Very good movable fire pit. We recently remodeled the back patio and wanted a small fire pit to relax around during the evening. The CobraCo FB8008 had good reviews and was the right size for our area. It was very easy to assemble, but I was a little disappointed with the engineering of the surrounding ledge. The 4 sections do connect at the support legs which leads to a slightly uneven ledge. Also, the handle for the fire screen is attached with a single screw. I can see this being a problem in the future. The rest of the fire pit appears very solid. We have used it several times in the three weeks we have had this, with our favorite activity being toasting marshmallows to make s'mores! It truly has been a wonderful addition to our patio.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for CobraCo FB8008 Diamond Mesh Fire Pit with Screen and Cover
We purchased this fire pit to accommodate our family of seven. It is the perfect size. Assembly was not difficult at all. The tools are already provided. Several screws and washers. You must be careful not to lose any as they didn't include any extras. I assembled this by myself in about 15 minutes. Not bad for me! My husband was surprised I had it put together before he even had a chance to look it over. It is VERY nice and sturdy. Thinking this will last us quite a long time! We are very happy with this purchase!Saturday, May 24, 2014
Cheap TV Cart
You get what you pay for. I had a difficult time putting this together. I broke a shelf when taking the first step and connecting the shelves to the side boards. The wood chipped off by the dowel holes. I glued it together with Gorilla glue. I like the height for viewing TV in bed. The shelves underneath the TV are not wide enough to hold my Dish receiver. The almostcardboard cover in the back does not cover all of the back as shown in the picture so the wires show. I just stacked books on the shelf to hide the wires.
I like the unit but had to go buy wheels to mount on it so it could be rolled within the room.
Construction is pressed wood fiber with plastic laminate. The two openings for devices are a VERY SMALL.
Before you buy this product, measure your Cable, DVD, Blue Ray or other boxes. The opening is only 15 1/2 inches wide.
Like other reviewers said it is also a bit too tall for large HDTV's.
Almost 3 feet high. Better suited for a digital printer or small HDTV(up to 32").

I am really pleased with this cart. I looks great. It's sturdy. It fits in my space. And it wasn't that hard to put together (for me, a small not very strong woman). The backing was damaged in shipping, but the seller replaced it, and I so far like the product without it. The only drawback is that the CD holders are a little small and look cheap, but I haven't attached them. A fantastic value for the money.Honest reviews on TV Cart
When looking at the options available I thought there was a difference between a Cart and a Stand. I needed something that would roll. The picture is deceiving as with the description being that it was a 'Cart' and what looked like wheels...I like the unit but had to go buy wheels to mount on it so it could be rolled within the room.

I have had a ventless fireplace for 10 years and have been using this product for the same amount of time. I usually place 2 cans behind the ceramic log. It really puts out heat (sufficient for an Arizona winter anyway) and crackles and pops. It is a great alternative to a woodburning fireplace. Don't get me wrong, they are in no way the same, but if you are looking for a beautiful fire for ambiance and a little warmth, this will do the trick.
One thing I learned not to do is buy too many cans ahead of time. I tend to use these only for special occasions other than the one time my electricity went out due to high winds (and I'm total electric so my furnace was out too). In this case, this gel fuel was a life-saver for me....but if you buy too many cases at once and don't use them up over the course of 1 or 2 winters, the burning time will be less the older they get.
I was worried these might put off carbon monoxide fumes, but they don't I borrowed a carbon monoxide detector and the entire time the 3 cans were burning, the detector never moved off zero.
My only complaint about any of these gel fuels is the slight alcohol scent they give off. This isn't as noticeable if you stay inside the entire time it's burning, but if you go outside and then come back in, you can smell it ever so slightly.
The Real Flame brand had less alcohol odor than the others I tried. I wish they could put a vanilla scent into the alcohol that would overpower the alcohol scent. Then they would be perfect.
It can warm a room 6 degrees in an hour, so it does help keep you warm. The crackling sound the gel emits makes it seem more realistic and it is a nice soothing sound. The only drawback is the fact that you have to use two to three cans at a time and that can be very expensive. I use two and it does a good job, but, three would be great.

Having owned a gel fuel fireplace since 1995, I have tried just about every brand of gel fuel there is available. The Real Flame Gel Fuel is the best. They seem to burn a good 15 minutes longer than the others (around 3-1/2 hours for me), as there is barely any burnt residue left inside the can after it cools down so I can check it.One thing I learned not to do is buy too many cans ahead of time. Just rip off the label, pop the top off and light. No mess, no cleanup, no gas smell. The Real Flame smells a little more alcohol-ish before you light it, but once it's lit, there's no smell at all. Cheap New EdenPURE Infrared Heater US1000
I have a medium open living/dining area with high ceilings. I, like most wanted something to help with the heating costs. This machine worked well during the day when I had it running on high with the fireplace going and would warm the room to 70-71 degrees. At night, I put the central gas heat on 64, turned off the fireplace and left the Edenpure running on high. When I woke up, the room was 64, just as I had set the thermostat on the central heat. So needless to say, it did not work at all as the main heat was kicking on. I also do not like the fact that there is no digital thermostat but just several lines to indicate the level of heat and there is no timer. I actually have ordered another similar unit from Home Depot that has both of these features, has two more additional heating elements and is supposed to heat up a 1500 sq foot room and only cost $259 with free shipping. And of course the added bonus of being able to return it directly to the local store if I do not like it. This Edenpure I purchased is rated to heat 1000 sq feet. So, I personally cannot recommend this product.
Heating Claims Don't Add Up
Manufacturers of electric space heaters want you to believe that using one of their devices will lower your heating bill. Lowering your home's thermostat(s) and using your main heating system less in tandem with a space heater--called zone heating--will cut your utility bill. (Every degree you lower the thermostat(s) can save you about 2 percent on your heating bill.) But keep in mind that based on current national average prices and adjusting for the energy losses due to burning a fuel, heating with electricity is about two and a half times more expensive than heating with gas, the most common heating fuel in this country.
EdenPure suggests that "you can turn the heat down in your house as low as 50°F, yet the room you are in will be warm and comfortable. When you move to another room, the EdenPure goes with you. Its wheels make relocation a snap." That scenario assumes that you have to heat only a single room to heat at a time or that you own multiple EdenPure space heaters; that once you're in a room you stay put and don't move around the house; and that you're willing to keep the rest of your home at a chilly 50°F. Lowering the thermostat(s) by 3°F would likely result in minimal discomfort for you and your family, but are you willing to keep your home at 50°F?
...Its design essentially negates the radiant-heating effect, so it operates more like a typical fan-forced convection heater. While a fan can help mix the room air, there is typically some temperature variation, with cooler air near the floor and warmer air near the ceiling.
Humidity Information Seems All Wet
EdenPure says its heaters "protects the humidity level and air quality important to breathing comfort and personal health," and also notes that "Heat from the copper tubing rides the humidity in the room and provides moist, soft heat--ceiling-to-floor, wall-to-wall--without reducing oxygen or humidity."
Simply put, when you heat a room with any space heater and don't also have an additional source of humidity, say a humidifier, the total moisture in the air in that space will stays the same but the relative humidity will go down, not up. That's true for every space heater we've tested...

We needed a heater for our fifth wheel and I prefer products made in the USA (especially electric products), so after reviewing many heaters decided on the Edenpure. It really does the job! Saved quite a bit on propane and heats the whole 5th wheel. Plus it's a lot quieter than our furnace. We've been extremely pleased.Honest reviews on New EdenPURE Infrared Heater US1000
Years ago,I purchased two Edenpure, very efficient and safe, model Gen 3 heaters. One of the heaters was a refurbished model. Both heaters worked great, until the refurbished heater stopped producing heat. I called the company, being that a refurbished hearter did not carry a regular warranty, I could not get help..not even a timely answer from the on line trouble shooting expert. It was the Christmas vacation week for my grandchildren who were coming to stay with me in upstate NY., and without two heaters, my home is really cold. After a long wait for the online company representative to get back to me, only for him to write back stating that he lost my e-mail and what was my heater problem. I wrote him back, but again never recieved answered, and with the nearest repair shop for these heaters hundreds of miles away from my home, I went to BJ's store to see what brands of heaters they had available. To my surprise BJ's had 1 Edenpure US1000, which I purchased. Edenpure has made some changes;the US1000 heater uses three bulbs instead of the 5 bulbs as in the original heaters and I believe runs a bit cooler, not giving the wide spectrum of heat output as the older models did. The Edenpure is a safe and attractive looking heater, and I feel very comfortable when my grndchildren are at my home, knowing that they will not be harmed by any heating elements.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for New EdenPURE Infrared Heater US1000
I bought 2! The heater works very well. We run it in the room where our TV and thermostat are located. It raises the temperature to around 72 degrees, which keeps the heat from coming on. As long as we stay in that room, it's nice. The rest of the 1st floor of the house gets very cold unless we run the second heater in another room. These are idea for trailers or small homes. If you have a bigger house you may want to buy a couple of them but, would you really be saving any money then???.Wednesday, March 12, 2014
Decorative Fan - Charcoal Grey and Plum Floral Pattern (Charcoal Reviews
The fan is quite beautiful but terribly flimsy. When it warms up next spring I believe I will spray the back of it with some lacquer or something to reinforce it. I opened it to look at it and then went to close it and it wanted to bend in all kinds of wrong places. It does stand up by itself, which is a bonus. The fan is NOT reversible, and for 50 dollars worth of paper it should be. I will keep it because it suits my needs but will do some home improvement to make it more durable.

We just extended our patio and had a stone fire pit built. I was concerned because our fire pit is round and the grate is hex shaped, but it fit perfectly. Great buy!
